Enpaz Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 (edited) Ladies and gentlemen, today I'll present to you: Dead Men's Glory. It's my first fully-completed MOC since the sinister Dark Ages. Considering the limited selection of pieces I had at my disposal for doing this, I like it very much. I've completely run short of 1x1 tan round plates... calls for a BL order, doesn't it? Click for pictures! But let me warn you: clicking on the link takes you to a world of love and hate, rise and fall, rage and grace. Once seen it cannot be unseen! Actually not... but it does depict and evolution. A dark one! *scary expression* Comments are much appreciated! Cheers! Edited December 19, 2010 by Enpaz Quote
Claus von Nassau Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 some how the link is not working, so i cant see your creation claus Quote
Enpaz Posted December 19, 2010 Author Posted December 19, 2010 (edited) This is because I did not yet post a link! Pressing the 'enter' key made me create the topic too early. The pics arrive in 3 minutes. They are here now! Edited December 19, 2010 by Enpaz Quote
Admiral Croissant Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 It's rather simple, but also rather nice. I like the snot water and how the chest is half in the sand. But a BL order certainly sounds like a good idea Quote
Big Cam Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 It's rather simple, but also rather nice. I like the snot water and how the chest is half in the sand. But a BL order certainly sounds like a good idea I agree, but sometimes simplicity is key. Especially when his pictures are so damn crisp. Quote
Mr. Gray Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 A nice little MOC, but I don't like the trans-clear 1x1s put under the shore. I think those 1x1s should have been a different, opaque color such as white or maybe even dark tan to simulate wet sand. But a BL order sounds good, and welcome out of those awful dark ages! Quote
MightySlickPancake Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 This is really good, simple but effective . I like the sea effect and the story that goes with it . Thanks, CB Quote
KotZ Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 Very noce! As others said, simple, but I like it. And after what Big Cam said, what camera are you using? Just an idle question. Quote
Enpaz Posted December 19, 2010 Author Posted December 19, 2010 Thanks. What I like most about the MOC is the photography with those awesome vintage minifigs, to be honest! I'm not using any special camera... just an ordinary DigiCam: Canon PowerShot A590 IS A nice little MOC, but I don't like the trans-clear 1x1s put under the shore. I think those 1x1s should have been a different, opaque color such as white or maybe even dark tan to simulate wet sand. The idea with Dark Tan is grand, thanks for the suggestion! I should include those parts in the order! Trans-clear doesn't look that bad in my opinion. It's just a test for realistic foam, though... Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 A nice MOC, with the best picture quality I've ever seen! Really good! Welcome back from your dark-ages. I certainly hope to see more from you, which we will as you've ordered something.. What camera do you use if I may ask? Quote
Dreamweb Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 I like how you've made the shoreline, very realistic. The brown soil under the tan layer is made very smartly too. Overall a nice little scene. Quote
