kermit Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 ok after checking the lego website today i just saw that the fire helicopter and green grocer are no longer listed which brings me to this question what is the usual length of time a lego set remains on legos website before it no longer becomes available and also how can you tell when lego is planning to stop making a certain set for example there are alot of sets that say hard to find even the exclusive shuttle adventure and grand emporium that came out early this year...does that mean ther they will stop being made when whatever stock left is sold out the reason why im asking this is because i want to get the death star but i wont have the money right now to get it so how can i tell what time is left before this set is stopped being made by lego im sorry if this isnt posted in the right section Quote
I Scream Clone Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Kermit sets are generally available on S@H for a period of two years if they don't sell out/stop production. Green Grocer has been around for a long period of time and has probably been taken out of production. Which country are you trying to purchase it from? This is a global site so some more info like that helps us answer your question. If you are in the US perhaps a local Lego shop will still have some in stock? This is an adult site, as a result we generally appreciate proper capitilisation etc when you are posting as well Good luck in tracking down your sets. Topic moved and renamed to help out. Quote
Izzy Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Renamed to help out? My first thought was, "What the hell is a Period Set?" Quote
