I dont have bluetooth on my laptop, and I dont have a phone, so how do I control my NXT robot using a wired connection through USB?

I want the robot to move right when I press the right arrow button, left when I press the left arrow button, etc.

Please help!

I don't no much about this wired connection, and I know it's not exactly the answer to your question.

But for just a few Euros, dollars or whatever currency you like you can install a bluetooth stick to your usb port.

Hope it's of any use to you, it seems to me that wireless is far more preferable for use with robots.

What I meant by wired is that instead of using bluetooth I wanted to connect the NXT to my laptop using the USB, and control the NXT like that. Is it possible?

Although if bluetooth sticks are cheap I guess I could get one.

Well I have a link here with a range of bluetooth adapters (dutch website), just for indication. Prices start somewhere around 10 euro

You can do it. It's a simple controler in your NXT software. Go to extra (in the software), then remote, and you have it. I'ts only a simple remote (for USB/bluetooth)
