ACPin Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 (edited) Amidst the undulating desert sands lies an oasis that the sheikh's caravan had encamped for the night. The livestock grazes around the watering hole where the caravan had also set up their tents. Entertainment provided by belly dancers with music accompaniement during dinner. However, all the merriment had stirred the scorpions lair that lie beneath the sheikh's tent and the situation is about to get serious! MightySlickPancake Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 This is so cool . I love the amount of tan plates (you lucky guy). The strange angle its at is really nice. The story is very good as well. Thanks, CB Quote
buddy Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Great creation! I too especially like the irregular angle of it as well as the minifigs used, they fit in well with the scene. Very well done. ~buddy~ Quote
I Scream Clone Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 AC this is probably one of my favourites out of all your creations. I love the the use of the tan and dark tan as well as the oasis itself. It all works really well together even down to the modules not lining up. The only thing I am not a fan of is mixing flesh and yellow figs together, but that's a personal preference and doesn't detract from the posing of the figs. Great stuff. Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Again you amaze us with your genius 'ACPin' - excellent detail and plenty of action too but tell me, how did you do the veil's on the belly dancers ? AWESOME work and keep on MOCing ! Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 I agree, the angle is pretty awesome, but the first thing I noticed was the mix of fleshies and yellow minifigs. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Big Cam Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Awesome MOC AC!! I'm not sure if it just happen to work out or if you were throwing a SW easter egg in just for me, but I noticed Leia's bikini making an apperance. I for one am impressed with the amout of cloth pieces you used and have. Is the red cloth the same material as Jedi robes? Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Excellent entry AC! The whole build really captures the desert atmosphere perfectly, with the very effective usage of the tan and dark tan pieces, coupled with a couple of trees and the oasis water. And I really like the unconvetional shape of the base - a very unique and interesting aspect of this MOC. Great work as always and best of luck in the contest! Quote

Unfortunately, I don't have the fleshie Slave Leia. The red cloth pieces are the same material as the Jedi robes and got them from HP sets. You must go back and check out the detailed pics. Excellent entry AC!
