Well, I know what some of you might say....but you started this elsewhere !

But this is actually not part of the other mega MOC of shops....I guess the police station should have also had the same treatment....but aw, well.....

So now the store is complete minus stickering.....lots of stickering ! :hmpf:

The gates are next, then finally the goods stacked outside....fence posts and poly pipe coils.

Now the pictures......

landmark_wip_93.jpg

Many smaller towns have their Landmark stores actually in the town centre with a dirt storage/carpark area to one side.

landmark_wip_94.jpg

Here we have a rear view of the store, note the tool area, irrigation area and customer service.....for which on the counter will be once stickered a fencing catalogue.

landmark_wip_95.jpg

Sledgehammers, shovels and big wrenches for irrigation and fencing work....oh, yeah that clear object hanging on the wall....that's either a rain gauge or farmer's measuring cup you decide !

landmark_wip_96.jpg

Now this might be my realistic looking pump yet !

ISOspec_290x320.jpg

You tell me if the real one is close to mine ?

landmark_wip_97.jpg

Okay, now who can spot.....the float valve replacement floats and butterfly valves ?

Well it's time I started on the gates, so comments are welcome and I'm a conformist! ! :sweet:

How many hardware/machinery stores do you need in your town?!??!

Other than that minor quibble, nice store. I like the sign, and good job making the merchandise

Thanks 'prateek' for your comments, to tell you the truth only this and the Mitre 10 will be in my town now....the BOC will be a seperate MOC altogether for shows etc.,....like when I can get to one ! :cry_sad:

Anyway, did I say something about gates.....

More still to come so keep on watching ! :sweet:

I think your BOC deserves to be in your town, rural towns having a BOC (for the tradies), a Landmark (for the farmers) and a regular hardware store (for normal people) isnt unheard of.

There would be surprisingly little overlap between the 3. BOC sells gas and supplies that go with the gas. Landmark sells arigcultral gear (btw, one cool idea for the outdoor bit of the Landmark might be a Windmill (could have one on display with kits where you pick up all the bits and chuck em in the back of the UTE)

Soemthing like this

Well the BOC might stay, buy I still have to find a home for the future pub and roadhouse after which I might put it back (but it looks a little oversized for a little country town just look at the police station)...now on the ute idea.....I'm looking at designing a Holden 4x4 type.

Keep any comments and suggestions comming......so I'm a conformist! ! :sweet:

'jonwil' wants me to keep the BOC so does that mean I include an Origin gas agent to New Mannum as well based here at Landmark eh ?

Any ideas, suggestions and comments welcome.....so keep on.....you know the rest !

Great MOC! It looks very realistic and accurate. I particularly like the interior, it is highly detailed.

Very well done. :classic:

Thanks 'buddy', 'CB No.1' and 'sens1992' for your kind words, now BOC eh ?.....simply I need to put the pub and roadhouse in first....then see if there is space left for the BOC...unless I redesign it on to the double driveway plate only.....note the size of it vs. my other buildings.....yeah, it's a bit big for a little town - let me think about it.

Now I have MS paint'ed the sign ready for printing and will start work real soon on the interior signage for irrigation, fencing and animal heath products.

Keep on watching !

The color scheme is spot-on, and I must say you really have a knack of doing accurate brick versions of various machinery and tools (the pump this time around). Keep the great work coming! default_thumbup.gif

Hi, everyone just a quick update....no pic's though.....this Landmark now has a name - of course apart from the Landmark.....Cooper Agencies....since the IGA has my son's first name Zac in it's name then why not the Landmark use his middle name, Cooper.

Stickering tomorrow, and yeah.....any more suggestions I can take on board this one and try ?

I'm a conformist! everyone ! :sweet:

FINISHED......(whew !).....

Fresh interior pictures.....

landmark_98.jpglandmark_99.jpg

Now I didn't have room to make the signage with Cooper Agencies on it, so New Mannum was printed out instead.

I have been busy stickering again eh ?

Comments welcome and I'm a conformist! ! :sweet:

Hmmm, well I guess I should explain some of the new objects, next to the shovels/sledgehammers...side-by-side are a couple of small boxes of cow wormer, on the floor by the counter a large bottle of herbicide, near-by a very large container of grain protectant.

On the counter is a pile of catalogues with their monthly specials and Philmac irrigation and waratah fencing products signs on the wall.

I will be showing this to the Landmark store I visited last week, they were more interested than Elders.....hence why I built a Landmark ! :sweet:

Comments are still welcome and keep on farming !

Hello lightningtiger,

was trying to hold off comments till the finished product, but its just looking great after the stickers are added in! Just wondering will you be extending/ building up the whole building?

Thanks for the comments 'Cavey', any bigger eh ?.....not really, it is on a 32x16 base plate for a reason to fit between the police station and post office - gee I better update that tomorrow.

I guess I will still be putting fencing posts and poly pipe behind those gates, man that will be a lot of lime green 1x1 round bricks !

Keep on watching ! :sweet:

Looks great now its finished . The interior is fantastic as always and so it the rest of it.

Thanks, CB

Well, thank you 'CB....No.1' for your kind words, after the last few days it really does help for some positive talk.

Anyway, I'll be starting my next MOC today, but should it be the roadhouse or pub ?

Keep on watching ! :sweet:

I think pub, but I think pics of what you are basing off might be useful. Good luck all the same.

Thanks, CB

Now thank you 'buddy' for your kind words :sweet: , and 'CB' for your input.....okay, the pub it is...now to choose a design, but it will only be a single storey one this time. The last one really took it out of me (whew !).

Keep on watching ! :sweet:

Since I quickly built the ute, the farmer sent his son to pick up a jumbo container of grain protectant and check to see if they had right irrigation part his dad needs.
