vexorian Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 Today I found some Znap bricks in the bulk of parts I bought. I would have almost have put them in the Knex bag if I didn't notice that the plastic was much better and took a look to the LEGO logos in the larger bricks. I think they would be useful for bionicle stuff actually o_O. But well, the thing is that the small joints that were used to connect some of the ZNap I found thing to other things, do not have any LEGO logo on them. In fact, I think I may have dismissed them as non-LEGO stuff in previous occasions in which I sorted random bulks... I am not sure if my pieces are from Znap. Do Znap joints come with LEGO logos somewhere? If not, is there a way to differentiate them from Knex or bootlegs? Quote
prateek Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 I don't think Znap have logos on them, but to differentiate them from other brands, Znap is the only one that a Technic pin can fit in the hole. With other brands like K'nex, the holes are too big. You could always just go to Bricklink or Brickset and look at Znap sets and parts. Quote
vexorian Posted December 12, 2010 Author Posted December 12, 2010 (edited) Well, the larger bricks do have LEGO logos on them. I have a couple of small joints, they have a circle that is technic compatible, but the circle looks different. There is also the most odd purple quadruple joint, it does not have any technic socket. but a square thing. Everything would be easier if I had a camera near me, I guess. Something I noticed about these joint pieces is that the plug, although square shaped, supports LEGO bricks, the quadruple purple thing is actually a pretty cool SNOT piece and I think a good base for a small droid MoC, if it is really LEGO, though. Edit: Ok, it seems the pieces are from SNAP. look: The purple bricks in that pic are like the one I found, it admits bricks on its squarely plugs and it also allows a 1x1 brick inside its square like hole. That's a interesting piece..., too bad it doesn't have a LEGO logo >( Also found a black wheel which seems similar to the stuff in pictures, at first I threw it as clone because it does not have logos or anything to recognize it. But after seeing the pics, I noticed it. Edit: here it is: Edited December 12, 2010 by vexorian Quote
Aanchir Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 My best suggestion would be to just compare each Znap piece with Bricklink's list of Znap pieces. Once you've found a few of each style you can just start a pile for each shape and throw new pieces you come across into the matching pile, so you don't have to consult the internet every time a piece comes into question.
