Admiral Ron Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 This is my entry for the Colossal Castle Contest: Realistic Castle Figure. If this belongs in the Custom Minifigure Forum, please move it Anyways, here is my Knights Templar Soldier. Hope you enjoyed it! Quote
prateek Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Good job at the shield and torso decals! BTW, are the legs decaled too? I'm not familiar with them. And I think this guy will benefit from some gloves Quote
Capt. Stabbin Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Nice job! Looks very realistic! Good luck in the contest! Quote
Admiral Ron Posted December 8, 2010 Author Posted December 8, 2010 Good job at the shield and torso decals! BTW, are the legs decaled too? I'm not familiar with them. And I think this guy will benefit from some gloves Thank you kindly, and no the legs are not decaled. They come from some of the new Lion soldiers, usually the higher-ranked looking ones. And I was thinking of gloves too, but light grey looked really weird, any suggestions for colors? Nice job! Looks very realistic! Good luck in the contest! Thank you kindly as well! Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Very nice custom Knight Admiral Ron! Great job on the custom decals on the torso and the shield. Good luck with your entry! Quote
Derfel Cadarn Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Nice entry! Great torso and sheild I suggest maybe brown for the gloves, kind of like a leather look. Thats what I usually go for if the greys dont look right. Nice work! Quote
MagPiesRUs Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 That's a very cool figure, Admiral Ron! It's great to see my decals being put to good use. I like the use of the chainmail head, it works so well with that torso. I'd like to see some barding on that horse though, I feel it would really help round off your entry. The new Lion barding would probably work: Nice job, and all the best for the contest. Quote
Randal Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 I like that when his helm comes off he's still wearing a chain mail cowl. =D Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Excellent custom figure 'Admiral Ron' and good luck in the contest too ! I'm a conformist! ! Quote
I Scream Clone Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 You know I am tempted to move it, but its so sexy I want to keep it in my neck of the woods Well done. Quote

Thank you very much! Nice entry! Great torso and sheild I suggest maybe brown for the gloves, kind of like a leather look. Thats what I usually go for if the greys dont look right. Nice work! Brown is a good idea, I shall change it, thank you kindly! That's a very cool figure, Admiral Ron! I'm glad to see those decals put to good use. I like the use of the chainmail head, it works well with that torso. I'd like to see some barding on that horse though, I feel it would really help round off your entry. The new Lion barding would probably work: SNIP* Nice job, and all the best for the contest. I was thinking about it, but you reminded me I already have the lion barding, so I am just going to put that on, thanks! I like that when his helm comes off he's still wearing a chain mail cowl. =D Indeed, that head was the cornerstone of my design. Excellent custom figure 'Admiral Ron' and good luck in the contest too ! I'm a conformist! ! Thank you kindly! You know I am tempted to move it, but its so sexy I want to keep it in my neck of the woods Well done. This is a truly great honor! Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 It is indeed a lovely custom, Admiral. Instead of using the lion horse barding you should look for a template for it and make your own to match the knight a little better. Quote
Darth Yogi Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 This looks very nice. The decals are very good. Although as Prateek gloves would be good. Dark grey maybe? Good luck. Great job Quote
Admiral Ron Posted December 11, 2010 Author Posted December 11, 2010 It is indeed a lovely custom, Admiral. Instead of using the lion horse barding you should look for a template for it and make your own to match the knight a little better. That is a good idea, luckily I got a cheap barding just for this purpose, so I should post an update here within a week or so. This looks very nice. The decals are very good. Although as Prateek gloves would be good. Dark grey maybe? Good luck. Great job Thank you as well! I am going to try both dark grey and brown and see how they look! Quote
