By now you might have noticed I seem to post all new buildings in one place unless there is something different about it or whatever.....like I said the post office was going to be redone so.....and please remember it's still W-I-P.....

Thanks 'CB No.2' for your kind comments, now a bare wall....which one ?

Can I assume the narrow wall facing you looking from the rear forwards...yeah at the back, I still also have to make a small bench that people fill out papers/sort bills & money/blah, blah, blah !

I also have to design the signage inside and out so by tomorrow night SA time this post office should be finished.

Keep on watching for the postie !

Nah, the interior looks fine, its the wall with the canopy, it looks kinda plain with that art deco patterning right next to it. Then again, it might not look that good, it kinda contrasts the art deco wall

Can't wait 'till tomorrow!

Excellent work on the exterior design lightningtiger! I really like the white tile detailing on the side walls. I assume this is based on a real AUS PO? Lookin' forward for the completion of this one.

Thanks 'KielDaMan' for your kind words, yes to your question it's design is inspired by a small post office in s little town called Hallet in South Australia's far north.

More updates tomorrow....so keep on watching ! :sweet:

Thanks 'CB No.1' for your kind words, no there won't be extra floors what you see is what some country post offices are....although many are a little wider with another building attached to it....i.e. living quarters for the post master....in the old days they lived at their work.

This building sits along side the police station, anyway updates later....well as long as my wife lends me back the camera ! (gee, I wished I lived in Reno  )

Keep on watching everyone ! :sweet:

Great work, it looks very realistic and accurate. I can't wait to see it finished. :classic:

Very well done.

~buddy~

Thanks 'buddy' for your kind words, I should have this finished by the end of the day - only stickering and installing the pay phone to be done.

Then, work beings on the chemist to replace where the post office was, plus finish the toy section of the store on the corner and fit a bench seat in place of the pay phone at the bank....busy, busy, busy !

Keep on watching ! :sweet:

Yes, cant wait for more! I think a good improvement would be to move the 2 red coloumns back onto the plate.

Well, thanks for the comments 'erik', but those coloumns will fit onto studs in the pavement along the entrance of the post office....no plate hence the gap to the ground.

Keep on mailing stuff !

Cool. 8-)

I wonder how many Lego bricks pass through Australia Post's hands every year.

It would have to be millions.

:classic: :classic:

Thanks 'AussieJimbo' for your kind comment and yeah, I beleive many thousands of dollars worth pass though their hands each month !

Keep on sending mail !

Thanks 'sens1992' for your kind words again :sweet: , always great to hear from you.....anyway I'm still trying to work out where to relocate the phone box as these are positioned near a post office.

Keep on mailing letters to Santa !
