Pazoozoo Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 (edited) Hello everyone, I have a stupid question... Maybe it has already been answered many many times. Sorry if so. What happen to products that are sold out while they are pretty new (ie: 8403, 2824, etc.) and that are on the Christmas 2010 catalog? We have passed only the 1st week end of december and a lot of products are already sold out! Are they sold out forever or do TLC intend to make some new boxes? Cheers, Fred. Thanks, CB That's crazy to see that every day more and more boxes are sold out. For instance, I bought a box for my nephew (Hogwart's castle) and 2 days after it was sold out! So now, each time I order a new box (for me), I get it in double: one for the fun, the second for the posterity. Quote
fred67 Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 If it's a "new" set, like the new Harry Potter or Star Wars or trains that just came out this year, it will likely be back in stock at some point. For example, I haven't gotten Hogwarts Castle, which I need to complete the new set... but I'm not particularly worried about it, either. If it was an older set (like something that came out in early 2009 or older), it may or may not be, but after 1.5 years I wouldn't hold my breath. Seasonal sets (Advent Calendars, the Winter Toy Shop and Bakery) typically are only for one season... meaning a limited run that, once it's sold out, that's it. However, LEGO surprised a lot of us by rereleasing the Winter Toy Shop this year... The only lesson is that nothing is written in stone, TLG is full of surprises. Quote
Mr. Elijah Timms Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 However, LEGO surprised a lot of us by rereleasing the Winter Toy Shop this year... I think we surprised them by going hog-wild for it last year-- and they didn't anticipate such high demand. Smart move to recognize the potential for re-release. Quote
Big Cam Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 Brand new products will nt be discontinued this fast. Sold out is different from "No longer available" When I check Shop At home, it says call for availability then when you click for details, it says sold out, so just hold out until it's back in stock. I bet if you call LEGO they may be able to give you an ETA. Quote
