estephano (DE) Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 I found my way back to Lego this year and since the Legoland/Town/City theme has always been my favourite I created a pizza snack stand being my first MOC in 17 years. I really hope you like it... it's simple, but fits well into the Town theme. The pizza snack stand has 2 stone ovens (1x large, 1x small), a built-in television, a telephone (or credit card reader if you like that better) and a small bar. Here are some photos... Feel free to leave a comment or suggestion. I'll be pleased to hear from you Quote
Cancerkitty Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Nicely done; I really like the color scheme here. And on a related note, I miss those old-style motorcycles. I used to have a handful, but when I retrieved my old collection from my parents' house a couple years ago they were all gone. Ah well. Quote
The Yellow Brick Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Mmm....Pizza , Beautiful snack stand. It has a very 'Classic town' feel to it, oh and why is that parrot drinking wine Quote
MightySlickPancake Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Great little scene . Its nice to see those old letters pieces in good quality. Like what The Red Brick said very classic town . It has a very 'Classic town' feel to it, oh and why is that parrot drinking wine I only just noticed that . Thanks, CB Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Very nice classic town feel pizza stand 'estephano (DE)' and your first MOC in 17 years, gee I was about 30 years between my MOC's...being playing catch up now ! Hope to see more creations from you real soon and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
estephano (DE) Posted December 2, 2010 Author Posted December 2, 2010 (edited) Thank you all for your really nice comments on my first MOC. It's great to hear such a positive feedback from experienced builders. It has a very 'Classic town' feel to it, oh and why is that parrot drinking wine Glad you've recognized that little gimmick! I did that on purpose. The 80's and early 90's were my Lego time as a kid and I've always loved that red parrot that came with set 6251 back in 1989. So I really wanted to add a little gimmick from that period and was quite sure that most people wouldn't even recognize it. Here's one question I have for those experienced MOC builders on here: do you usually keep your MOC's when they are finished or do you take them down once they are finished and photos were taken of them? I'm still torn whether to keep them or take them down for other projects. Edited December 2, 2010 by estephano (DE) Quote

Well this is your first MOC in years so keep it, In future when you make others you can take them apart but I would keep this together . Quote

Well I don't if i would call myself an 'experienced MOC builder' but I usually keep my mocs unless its very important that it is taken apart. Thanks, CB Quote
estephano (DE) Posted December 3, 2010 Author Posted December 3, 2010 Red Brick, you've made a very good point! That's the way I'm gonna do it: keep the first and take apart future projects after I've taken pictures of them for my gallery. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Like what I said in your Intro topic, this is a really nice Classic Town MOC, I just love its simplicity and the vibrant red color of the pizza stand. This could've been a classic lego set. Very well done Stephan! Quote
exon_from_youtube Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 My style of building still.... Buy a cornerstone on bricklink and you will have something to start with for the architectural stuff... other then that.... the new city stuff is very nice and a great start as well... I my self have not been back too long from the darkage (long time away from bricking) But I stopped in the mid 90's..... lots of stuff now that I look back came and went and all the sets that I wish would have been out still... Ahem, Monorail(airport shuttle) are now all rare finds these days..... but thats why I say stick with the cornerstones.... Creator series will give you a jump in the right direction.... if the houses are still at your local stores pick them up.. I went out yesterday and looked for another family house set and they and the beach houses sadly now are not on the shelf's around my area .... keep bricking Quote
ACCURATEin Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 I'm getting hungry looking at your MOC! haha Welcome back to the hobby. Quote
estephano (DE) Posted January 17, 2011 Author Posted January 17, 2011 Thanks for your positive feedback. I'm currently building a 3 storey family house which should be done by the end of the week. Will post pics asap. Quote
SilentMode Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Like others have said, this could easily have been a classic set. There's something about that green base and the use of red roof pieces. Excellent work! Quote
