tl8 Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Application for XL is powering a heavy vehicle. Can you provide theoretical difference between 1XL-1port-1BB with 2XL's-1port-1BB, regarding motor performance on a heavy model? Assuming that 111 is at 100% power @ 550mA (Which it may not be but we are after a ratio anyway). Also assuming that the IR Receiver can deliver 800mA max and it uses a symmetrical current limit (Unknown at this stage. If it is not symmetrical then one motor would receive more current than the other. If it is a voltage reduction then the power will reduce even further). Then 100% for 1 motor is 550mA. 100% for 2 motors is 1.1A Assuming above, then each motor gets 400mA. Each motor is running at 72% power or ~3/4 of the 111 power. Together there is 145% of the power of 1 motor. So 1XL-1-Receiver-1-BatteryBox = 100% 2XL-1-Receiver-1-BatteryBox = 145% 2XL-2-Receiver-1-BatteryBox = 182% 2XL-2-Receiver-2-BatteryBox = 200% Quote
Milan Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Thanks, that should be pinned. I can live with the second example, with 145%, but will try if one XL is enough foe specific model. Quote
rien Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Need more power? try ading a li-po 11,1volts It have a nice size to fit in models Many discusions of it but it still works great here is my mod withe the 11,1volts li-po Quote
