I got a mail from the guys over at Hispabrick Magazine asking for feedback on their latest issue. So if you've got something to say - good or bad - you can do it here.

(The latest issue can be downloaded here)

This is not especially helpful feedback, but Hispabrick is brilliant. I love having the variety of topics, as having ideas jumbled together increases the chances of the creative spark. Great interviews in this edition too. Thank very much to the producers.

Hello everyone,

Need help on how to buy Hispabrick Magazines (Issues 1-9). Please let me know and thanks!

You can download free the previous magazines from the webpage (there is a link to the past issues past issues). To buy printed magazines you can do it at bubok You only pay the printing and shipping costs.

Only read a bit of it so far, but it seems really good. The sorting article in particular sounds all too familiar as I yet again sort my collection once more. :laugh: Definitely worth a read for anyone unsure of whether to check it out (I nearly missed out thinking it would all be in Spanish)

I agree. As the majority of the Lego community does NOT speak spanish, EVERY time the Hispabrick Magazine is referred to, it should be accompanied by a note like this; Hispabrick Magazine (in english). -To help remove any doubt.

I really enjoy reading Hispabrick magazine, it is very professionally produced. I have loved the tree building series, I hope you guys can continue with this type of article over a few issues. It's always a good mix of themes, so everyone can find something of interest. Of course that means some parts (the NXT programming articles) mean nothing to me, but that is to be expected.

This issue highlights were the continued tree lessons, the sorting article, and the what exactly is technic? article (which was great to read as I found many things explained to me that I did not understand).

Please keep up the great work, and I really hope you carry on in the brilliant way you have established yourselves so far.

The recent issues have also been doing a really good article on PID design - this is an ideal guide for the laymen which can help people do some really fancy NXT based things.

In general it is a great read - and tries to cater for everyone. Consequently some issues I find a bit tiresome, others are excellent. But when I compare it to the run of the mill magazines (off the shelf) - such as photography which repeat themselves with light weight irrelevant articles; it is really good. Although personally I do not always enjoy the interview series, there can be golden tidbits hidden away.

I also very much enjoy the Railbricks magazines - I value them both for giving good clear reviews, great quality photos, and nice inspiration and shared building techniques.

How to make it better - possible themed articles? E.g. A winter themed issue which could include reviews of some of the designs submitted for the Eurobricks Winter Village contest. Or a western theme; which could expand across all the themes; including a western style technic wagon & horse... western trains, and western forts. Building techniques for WigWams...

I also think layouting and typesetting could be improved slightly - sometimes it feels there is too much white space or too many oversized irrelevant photos (e.g. large mobile crane on a page) - but then in the end this is an excellant fan based magazine produced by a dedicated group of people and not a commercial venture. So it should not be taken as critisicm or complaint!.

Thanks for the response! I actually need hard copies of Hispabrick magazines for my personal library. Unfortunately, I can't speak nor understand Spanish so ordering through Bubok is out of the question. I recall contacting an editor of the magazine before asking how to place an order but can't find his e-mail anymore...

Need more help!

I will try to guide you. First go to the web with the link "bubok" I gave you in the last post. This will take you to the page of the magazine. Choose the first issue you want to buy and click "COMPRAR" (=buy). You will be redirected to the checkout page. If you want to buy more go to the bottom "SEGUIR COMPRANDO" (=continue shopping) at the bottom left of the page.

When you have finished buying issues in the checkout page you can find on the left the issues you have choosen. On the center the Shipping details:

Nombre=name

Apellidos=surname

Telefono=phone

Correo Electronico=mail

Direccion=Address

Pais= Country

Localidad=City

Codigo Postal= Postal code

Economy/Regular/Express are different shipping methods. You can see the shipping cost in "Gastos de envio"

On the right you have the payment methods

Paypal/Credit Cards/Transfer

"Importe de la compra" is the total amount.

You have to check "he leido y acepto las condiciones de compra" (=I have read and accept the policies"

If you choose Paypal a new window will open when you click "Hacer el pedido" (=Make the buy)

I hope this will help you. Tell me if you have any other question. My email is carlos(at)hispabrickmagazine(dot)com

We would love to have that kind of articles and we are always searching for people with the time and the interest to write them. But it is difficult to find collaborators. I hope that here in Eurobricks we will find new collaborations

I have learn from scratch to do the layout (hey I´m a mining engineer ;D) and I know my limits, but I work hard to learn more about layouting.

Thanks all for your coments and feedback
