General Magma Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 (edited) Heyo all! I decided to make my first topic in MCW (other than the question topics, etc.) where I show some of my customs. Here you can find some of my custom Star Wars minifigs. Enjoy! First of all, we have... Savage Opress Here he is, one of the few Savage Opress minifigures! The villain from some of the upcoming Clone Wars episodes. As you may know, he's a Zabrak, hence the horns. I think he turned out quite nice. Only thing I want to change in the future, is to make the horns with something that hardens on the minifig head, but still sticks onto it. The horns are currently just too soft, and I'm planning on using this figure in several stop-motion animations and MOCs. I made the face decal entirely myself. It's probably my second or third attempt on a face decal, and in my opinion, it turned out great and very accurate. Well, onto the figure now... Sorry, this picture is a little blurry... Savage Opress by General Magma, on Flickr Savage Opress - side by General Magma, on Flickr Savage Opress - back by General Magma, on Flickr Here's his UNFINISHED non-lightsaber weapon. I don't know the name of it, but it's somewhat a mix of a staff and an axe. Only the lower half has been finished: Savage Opress - unfinished staff-axe by General Magma, on Flickr Savage Opress by General Magma, on Flickr Reference picture for comparing to the real Savage Opress: That's all for now, folks! Hope you enjoyed. I've got lots more ready to be posted (and to be photographed). Also, if you know something sticky to attach to the head to make horns that harden on the head, but still stays on perfectly; Then please tell me your ideas for it. Thanks, and enjoy. More coming soon. ~ General Magma Edited November 26, 2010 by General Magma Quote
Mrlegoninja Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Very good! I really like its head! Great job! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 The decal turned out really well, as did the horns. Quote
BrickArtist Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Amazing job with that head! The back-wards clone skirt is great. But i have to recommend these http://www.brickforge.com/store/product.php?productid=16473&cat=288&page=1 . Overall this is an astonishing custom . Quote
Baylego Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Cool! This decal re-colored would make a great Darth Maul. Quote
Masked Builder Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Very nice! It looks way better then the way Lego would do him! Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted November 27, 2010 Posted November 27, 2010 Like what I said in the SW forum, this is truly an impressive custom Savage Oppress! I like it instantly the moment I saw it. Great work on this Gen. Magma, keep 'em coming! Quote
Darth Yogi Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 Looks great. The face decal is great and the horns look good. Very good resemblance of the character. Great job Quote
CommanderFox Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 (edited) As I said before, I love him Magma! Great job especially to the making of the decal! If you can find something better than what you have made the horns with, then it would make him look alot better, but he still looks great! Are you planning anymore custom figs soon? Lord Embo Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 I must say: this is amazing! Hopefully TLG make one as good as this for the Dathomir Speeder that we're getting(but knowing them they probably will just make a normal head and have the horns as a headpiece ). Lord Embo Quote
commanderneyo Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 (edited) Excellent I myself have a couple of MOC's nearly ready myself and hope to have them up at the weekend. His Armour around his neck truly is stunning and his Facial Expression even more stunning Opress truly is brilliant honestly at times for me the Customizers do a much better job than Tlg themself. My only concern is the Horns, They are not quite what I expected them to be still they are ok Looking forward to seeing your next MOC's Edited December 2, 2010 by commanderneyo Quote
Lord Embo Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 Hopefully your next minifigs are just as good(or maybe better) as Savage Opress. What figures have you got planned for us in the near future? Lord Embo Quote
General Magma Posted December 4, 2010 Author Posted December 4, 2010 (edited) Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Hello all! Today, I wanted to show you guys some of my SWTFU customs. All of them are no figures that have been made recently, so some of them are older. The newest one is Starkiller from the SWTFU2 game cover. Group shot of all the figures: SWTFU: Custom Batch #1 (Group shot) by General Magma, on Flickr Starkiller - training gear Starkiller Training Gear by General Magma, on Flickr Note the ripped sleeve: Starkiller Training Gear by General Magma, on Flickr Starkiller - heavy training gear Credit for the rubber band idea goes to flickr member Jonathan - I used a thin rubber band, though, since it looked too large otherwise. This one is pretty old. Starkiller Heavy Training Gear by General Magma, on Flickr Starkiller - The Force Unleashed II This Starkiller costume is from SWTFU2's game cover. As far as I know, it didn't appear in-game. Or did it? I made this one around July or August. SWTFU II - Starkiller by General Magma, on Flickr SWTFU II - Starkiller (back) by General Magma, on Flickr Darth Vader - battle damaged This is the official minifigure, but I made a custom damaged cape for him, since that was what the official figure lacked. Darth Vader Battle Damaged by General Magma, on Flickr Darth Vader Battle Damaged Cape by General Magma, on Flickr Rahm Kota And last but not least, the main Jedi from the original game! Credit to Flickr member Vid for the great decals. Rahm Kota by General Magma, on Flickr Extras: Some extra figures, from "Star Wars: Battlefront", which I also wanted to show here. Rebel Vanguard This one doesn't have any custom elements added, except for the visor, which I painted white. I could've done it without a visor, as that would be white too, but the gap looked ugly. The Rebel Vanguard is complete with his rocket launcher. Rebel Vanguard by General Magma, on Flickr Rebel Marksman Here's the last one for today, folks! The Rebel Marksman, complete with a sniper rifle. Rebel Marksman by General Magma, on Flickr Hope you guys liked it. Soon, there will be more, but this is all for now... ~ General Magma Edited December 4, 2010 by General Magma Quote
Lord Embo Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 Nice work once again with your Force Unleashed characters. Kota is the best IMO, even if it is rather obvious where the decals were applied. Oh well, that's a small flaw that can easily be worked around. Lord Embo Quote
commanderneyo Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 Agreed with LordEmbo Kota is definitly the best. The Marksman and Vanguard are very good too. Quote
Darth Yogi Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Very nice SWTFU characters look very nice. I really like the Rahm Kota. Great job Quote
Baylego Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Those figs are awesome! My favorite is heavy training Starkiller. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Another great batch of customs Gen. Magma! I really like Starkiller in Heavy-duty training gear. Battle-damaged Vader's cape is very well done too. Good job and keep it up! Quote
General Magma Posted December 20, 2010 Author Posted December 20, 2010 And I'm back with some new stuff. Recently, I have started planning a Geonosis diorama project. For that, I'll need many Jedi, so today I decided to create some (named and all), as a small start for the project. They may not be great, but Jedi mostly just wear robes, really. Battle of Geonosis: Jedi The first batch of Jedi. From left to right, we have: Zarcon Hiukset, Aquidir Qoquz, Kolam Zakann (credit to LuxorV for the body decal), Kapuzen Mestari and Qeldor Ulrand. Geonosis: Jedi #1 by General Magma, on Flickr The next batch is completely purist. Ignore Kit Fisto and Plo Koon, they don't count as customs. From left to right: Kit Fisto, Grant Gannan, Xrixvar Shirxvush, Tranxx Viqir and Plo Koon. Geonosis: Jedi #2 by General Magma, on Flickr ~ General Magma Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Those are some nice custom generic Jedi Gen. Magma. Good combination of purist (parts mix-&-matching) and modern (decals) customization. Looking forward for your Geonosis diorama soon! Quote
Darth Yogi Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 (edited) Very nice figs. I really like the Aquidir. His head works very well for a jedi. Great job Edit- Where did you get the orange hands? I've never seen them. Edited December 21, 2010 by darth yogi Quote
General Magma Posted December 21, 2010 Author Posted December 21, 2010 Thanks everyone. More Jedi coming up soon. Where did you get the orange hands? I've never seen them. The orange hands aren't common, and thus I think they're rare nowadays. They only come in 3 sets. I got two pairs of them from a small rescue-coast vehicle set, about 5-7 years ago. (I bought two back then.) The set I got them from was this one, and the figure was this guy. Hope that helped. ~ General Magma Quote
RoryoCox Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 General Magma your last two waves of figures have been very nice. I like the different versions of Starkiller you have made, much more like the real thing than TLC's version. Well Done, you are improving each time Quote
