Here in the United States, we have a deep tradition of celebrating Thanksgiving, a day of thanks originating in the 1600s, proclaimed a national holiday in 1863.

Everyone celebrates Thanksgiving a little differently, especially the Thanksgiving feast, some with the traditional Turkey, stuffing, and yams, while others with foods from their country of origin. Thanksgiving, as most know, is not about the food; however, rather the time for families to celebrate the holiday together giving thanks to the good things that they can share.

As EB has held a special place in my heart for a long time, I'd like to share some good sentiment with all of you, and hope that those of you reading this topic may do the same.

I'll go ahead and start by thanking all of you for making EB a fantastic LEGO community that we can share our hobby together. You guys bring out the best in collecting, building, and sharing LEGO interest over the web. In addition, special thanks to our Admins and Moderators for always diligently working behind the scenes to keep EB managed smoothly.

So, regardless of whether or not you celebrate Thanksgiving, please feel free to share your thanks as part of this topic.

What Are You Thankful For? -a brief moment to reflect. :classic:

I'm thankful for my health, my loving wife and this wonderful community. :classic:

I'd like to thank all the mods, admins and everyone involved in EB for making it an enjoyable experience. Id also like to thank all the members here for wowing me on many occasions and inspiring me.

Finally I would like to thank my family and friends as well as all those surrounding me who make my life a pleasurable experience. That includes God for creating such an amazing world which we do not appreciate nearly enough.

Just thought I would share a little thanksgiving MOC. Happy Thanksgiving!

That is a neat way you made the candles with light sabers.

My family has this weird tradition of starting with only a few pieces of corn each year. The first winter was very harsh and many pilgrims died of cold and starvation. :sceptic: They only had a few pieces of corn each at one time.

I am thankful for many things, my family, legos, my new car, lego, Shigeru Miyamoto, lego, my new laptop, lego....

did I forget anything?

What I am thankful for is the great community here at Eurobricks. We have great mods that do so much for us, awesome reviewers with top notch reviews, the discussion-ists can sure put up a great fight when they want to. EB has become my favourite place on the internet, everyone one just makes it so special. Thanks guys! :sweet:

Happy Thanksgiving! (to all who celebrate this event). default_classic.gif

Unfortunately this celebration is not part of our culture, but of course, there are a lot of things to be thankful for. Personally, I'm very thankful for having the privilege of being part of this wonderful online community. Not only is this the most fun I had in an online forum, but the members here are really friendly, creative, talented, intelligent, and most of all, passionate Lego-lovers (like me).
