First Winter Workout

Hey guys!

Just wanted to introduce my baseball team. I must say their field is in the works so they were forced to practice on a grass lot. For their first practice they did a little batting practice and some light ab workouts. They only brought their bat rack and a crate of baseballs.

The team consists of 9 players lead by Starting Pitcher Kyle Johnson and their manager.

I am hoping to complete a field within the next few months. Just gathering resources right now. Once I complete the field, I'll build the stadium infrastructure around it :)

Nice one Kyle! Great job collecting all those Series 3 Baseball players. They all look good together as a team with the different faces. I'm looking forward for the baseball stadium.

Thank you! A few of the faces came from series 2 and series 3 minifigures (the Samuri, Fisherman (the manager), the Elf, Mr. Maracas, and the Surfer) the others came from the city Legos I have.

As for the field, I am thinking at least 2x2 32x32 baseplates in order to keep it realistic. Right now it is in the gather resources phase. Once the stands are added and the dugouts I'm hoping for a 3x3 32x32 baseplate stadium :)

All that's missing is the opposing team, perhaps in green or blue. But it's great you have a team of baseball players, and good luck building the field.

@Mr. Elijah Timms - I got lucky with them. I was in San Jose for business and my wife went and checked the Freddy's for me. By the time I got back all of the Portland Area stores were out. She was able to get me a complete set and the ball players.

@SilentMode - I would love to add another team. Not sure if I want to use the classic hats on the other team or change the pant color. It would be really nice if they came out with another jersey color and name :)

WOW, this is a great creation! The amount of Series 3 baseball players you have is truly amazing. I too can't wait to see the finished stadium.

I would love an opposing team. That would be sweet! There is a guy on Facebook who made a Wrigley Field. It is amazing!

Hey guys! I've got some updates on the Tualatin Clutchers! They held another practice and it was open to the public. I built some stands to surround their current practice area. They have also picked up a few more players on the team. All the profile pictures and names can be seen on my Flickr account. The link is in my signature.

I've got some parts coming in the mail to start work on the baseball field :) I found a Wrigley Field on Facebook that somebody made. I'm thinking of taking elements from all of the great American fields like the Green Monster at Fenway Park and the Brick Wall at Wrigley Field. I've also thought about making an old stadium like the Polo Grounds
