Hi All,

The Brickvention website has been completely revamped and is now open for registrations for 2011. If you are intending to come make a post in this thread so we know who to look out for.

This year we will be in the huge main hall of Melbourne Town Hall, so hopefully we won't have the long lines and crowded spaces we had last year. If you have any questions on the registration process or about Brickvention feel free to ask them here, or use the contact form on the BV website.

Ryan McNaught's Airbus is already disassembled but the newest (and Australia's only) Lego Certified Professional is planning something awesome for this years display so be sure not to miss out.

Cheers Peter, thank you for the shameless plug!

Yes this years event promises to be very special, we have a super special secret guest coming from the USA (and not flying in my airbus :P )

I'm pretty sure in the registrations thus far we have members from every LUG from around Australia :)

So join the fun it promises to be a great couple of days, and as the coordinator of a few of the games, I promise that that you will not leave empty handed!

I met a stack of Eurobrickers at Brickworld earlier this year and it was a real pleasure, I would love to meet some more!

cheers

My pleasure, I'm pretty good at shameless when in promotions mode ...

Oh and by the way if you are a train fan it appears that we will have layouts from Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and trains from Brisbane coming to Brickvention this year. So far I count 5 layouts and an extra yard area to display rolling stock. And I know of another layout that is unconfirmed at this stage but is likely to be there. Brickvention 2011 looks like it will be great for trains.

I just wish I could make it and bring something cool like one of my buses or my Holden dealer. But I keep spending my money on LEGO :P (like the Grand Emporium I bought, plus the BrickForge and BrickLink orders)

Well Perth is a long way, and you did come last year, so perhaps you should try for next year. I'd certainly like to see your bus up close.

Some exciting news! The LEGO Community Overseer for the Australian region, Jim Foulds, will be attending Brickvention 2011. He'll be available for questions and will give a short presentation on a LEGO topic of his choosing.
