Still Raindrop Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Hey, guys. I'm still working on my ophthalmologist's office (my lack of both tan bricks and money have put me behind schedule), but I'm currently working on the interiors. I'll reveal the interior of the downstairs when I eventually make a topic for the MOC, but right now I wanted to ask what everybody thought of the interior for the upstairs apartment. Please let me know! Here's what someone who had just opened the front door would see: Next up is the kitchen: The living room/bedroom. That's a sofabed, so it can be a living room by day, and a bedroom by night: Two shots of the bathroom. I couldn't really get a good picture of it, due to its being so cramped: A couple of details--here are some light switches and the thermostat: Finally, here's the layout: What do you think? Is there a way I can improve it and make it more realistic? Let me know, please! Quote
prateek Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Very nice! I like the kitchen a lot, especially the sand blue counter top Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Excellent flat, so simple yet fantastic, that SNOT shower curtain is original....never seen that before. So C & C....that's Cute & Cool - keep up the great work 'Mariko' and keep on MOCing ! Quote
CriticalBrick Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Great work! Loving the shower curtain! Mind if I steal borrow it! Maybe if you had some more tan, you could add walls between the kitchen and the other rooms, it looks kind of strange with the carpet right next to the tiles, but apart from that, I'm loving 'Rossville' so far! Mrlegoninja Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 The shower is quit cramped, I wonder how the minifig gets inside! It looks nice so far! Quote
mahon881 Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 there is on thing you could do very easily: put a removable back on the bed/couch Quote
Carbohydrates Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 My one suggestion would be the addition of a table between the living room and kitchen, perhaps with a small TV on the end of it closest to the wall. That way, those in the living room would have a TV to watch and those in the kitchen would have somewhere to eat! Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Simply amazing interiors! I just love the brickbuilt shower curtain and the toilet seat. The artwork painting adds a nice touch too. Excellent work Mariko! Quote
buddy Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 A great, highly detailed and realistic-looking interior! Very well done. ~buddy~ Quote
jonwil Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Great looking studio apartment you got there. Quote
MightySlickPancake Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 Great stuff . Looks very realistic. I love the details like the light switches. Cant wait to see the rest of it . Thanks, CB Quote
ACCURATEin Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 The shower curtain is a nice detail. Quote
lt.Gonville brickhead Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 I love it especially the kitchen great job Quote
wooootles Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Nice interior job there! I like the kitchen setup the best, so clean. Quote
SilentMode Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 (edited) That's an excellent kitchen! I had a surprising amount of trouble building a fridge, and you've nailed it. The wall cupboard is also a nice touch. The sink is just ingenious! Edited November 21, 2010 by SilentMode Quote
Still Raindrop Posted November 23, 2010 Author Posted November 23, 2010 Thanks, everyone--I'm glad you like it! Maybe I will try putting something in between the living room/bedroom and the kitchen. And CriticalBrick, you can certainly use the shower curtain idea. That's part of what I love about the LEGO community--we inspire each other (though my contributions, as far as inspiration goes, are pretty slim). Quote
