benny Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 I saw another lego train fans amended the 7597 train into his enlongated version, i like it so much. In this case, i bought a 2nd hand train and spent two days to amend it into my version. I keep its original outlook but i use part of 10194 structure so as to make it into normal size version. Now, its outlook become thin and smart! Original: My version: Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Nice job Benny. I've still got mine in the box and have been saving (for some unknown reason). I have to break out this little bad boy and get building. Quote
benny Posted November 15, 2010 Author Posted November 15, 2010 Nice job Benny. I've still got mine in the box and have been saving (for some unknown reason). For this train its locomotive is very nice design. Goodbye its thin body! Quote
broomhandle Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 good job. but every western train needs a tender..... i personally would also get rid of the green on the engine and make the smoke stack a tad different. but great job!!! and the cars looks great Quote
Carefree_Dude Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 here is my take on the train. Its a little different now (front is black, few cosmetic changes), but thats pretty much the jist of it. I wanted to do the same thing as you, but I got a little carried away. I also made the three cars much longer, and more to the standard of regular lego sets. I've just been lazy about pictures. Quote
The Green Brick Giant Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 (edited) Very nice, what the LEGO model should have looked liked.... However the caboose goes last. Edited November 20, 2010 by The Green Brick Giant Quote
buddy Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 This does indeed look better than 7597 and probably what the official Lego set should have looked like. Also, I particularly like the minifigs you have used, they compliment the train well. Very well done. ~buddy~ Quote
