-JD- Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 So, I painted a grey triangular clip brown quite a few years ago now, and I want to get it off! Is there a quick solution, without harming the grey piece? I've scratched a bit of the brown paint off, and then tried soaking the part in hot water, but the latter only softened the acrylic a bit. Sorry if there is a topic on this already, I did search but I couldn't see anything on this subject. Thanks. Quote
Primusman Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Try carefully sanding down the paint without damaging the piece. Then, put it in hot water again, but scrub it this time. If none of this works, you'll have to resort to a rubbing solution. Hope this helps! Quote
tin7_creations Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 rubbing alcohol works like a charm! Quote
vexorian Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Nail paint removal liquid works after you rub for a while. Beware smelling it though. Quote
