SavaTheAggie Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 The Spare Partman Bridge by SavaTheAggie, on Flickr I had a few light grey 2x4s left over from building my Cathedral, so I decided to throw together this tablescrap bridge for the upcoming TexLUG train show this weekend. It's designed to sit on the floor and span the gap between two tables. It's 96 studs long and a whole, whopping, 8 studs wide, flaring to 10 studs at the base. :) It would actually be relatively simple (but a little time consuming) to calculate just how many 2x4s are in there, but I have not taken the time to do so. --Tony Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Just a few spare pieces, huh? I'd beg for your table scraps... Seriously, though, nice work. It will be cool to see it in a train set up to give it some added dimension. Quote
Masked Builder Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Wow that's a lot of spare parts! Nice work! Quote
MightySlickPancake Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Well that is truly EPIC . Great work . How strong is this bridge? Thanks, CB Quote
buddy Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 (edited) Very impressive MOC, SavaTheAggie! You had 'just a few brick left over' there has got be at least 1000 light grey 2 x 4s in there. The size and scale of it is very impressive. Very well done. ~buddy~ Edited November 11, 2010 by buddy Quote
Andy Glascott Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Great bridge, and I love the understatement... Andy Quote

The size and scale of it is very impressive. 7 columns, 8 bricks a row, 80+ rows approx four and a half thousand 2x4s just sitting around spare. And I'll bet he still has some left over after that.
