Hi, new user and thinking of MOCing

Couple of questions:

1 : on the Muunilist 10(i love those guys and the show was good that they were in), where did you get the KAMA's/Pauldrons/blasters?

2 : on their arms(same people) did you take the arms from other people or paint them?

3 : on the air borne trooper are the orange lines tape or paint?

4 : where did you get all the decals that are on NEYO?

THank you very much, i love your work

Hi, new user and thinking of MOCing

Couple of questions:

1 : on the Muunilist 10(i love those guys and the show was good that they were in), where did you get the KAMA's/Pauldrons/blasters? - I made them myself - I used MS Word to design them, printed them in a white paper, cut them out, and used them. I have the jpeg images if you (or anyone else) would like to use them. The DC-15 rifles are custom weapons I got from eBay (sorry forgot the store name), the other blasters are custom made from lego parts.

2 : on their arms(same people) did you take the arms from other people or paint them? - Yup those blue /red arms are from official minifigs, detached and attached to the clone trooper torso.

3 : on the air borne trooper are the orange lines tape or paint? - Those are cut orange stickers.

4 : where did you get all the decals that are on NEYO? - Neyo's 91st Reconnaissance Corps logo from Wookieepedia, resized and printed in sticker paper; the torso decals are designed in MS Word, printed in sticker paper too.

THank you very much, i love your work - You're welcome, thanks!

General tips, hmmm.. let me see..

1.) First, determine the character that you would want to make a custom minifig of.

2.) Search for reference photos of the character you want to make which will serve as guides to your customization.

3.) Plan - list down things that you'll be needing: required lego parts, custom pieces, decals, stickers, paint, etc.

4.) Acquire the things you need for your custom fig. Look for the parts you need in your parts bin, if they are not available purchase them on BL/eBay or any online store. For decals, you could make them on your own, or ask our helpful customizers here to do if they could make one for you.

5.) Once all the things you need are available, start customizing. There are a lot customization techniques that you could do (decal making, using sculpey, custom printing of lego parts, etc), so you might want to browse the MCW forum for these or ask anyone if you need some help/advice.

6.) Most of all, have fun doing it. You might not get it the first time, so try and try until you achieve your desired end product.

Those are just general tips, if you have more specific questions, feel free to ask our competent customizers around. default_classic.gif

KielDaMan,

Yeah, can you post the JPEG's that'd be good. I might change the colors a little... Thanks for the tips!=)

Here you go, for you and to others who might want to use it. Just resize to the appropriate size and print in paper or cloth. (Give credit if used).

Any idea on which Characters you are going to do next?

Your current customs are great By the way

I think I'm done for the year, and will resume with my custom minifigs by January. I still have to improve my Commander Colt and Cold-Assault Rex customs. For new ones, I'm planning to do the Galactic Marines (21st Nova Corps), Geonosis ARFs, some custom Jedi (including the new-look Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Mace) , and select members of the Republic Senate. Thanks for the comments!
