Eichhorn Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Hi I hope this is the right place to post this topic. I need help identifing what type of train is used in the first Lumiere Film. The movie L'Arrivée d'un train en gare de La Ciotat was shot in 1985 in France so the train should be from that time period and place. As I'm not really knowledeable in old Locomotives I really hope someone who is can point me in the right direction. Here's a still of the train from the movie (the films title is also a link to youtube if more reference material is needed): Quote

daoudbazaar Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 I need help identifing what type of train is used in the first Lumiere Film. Hi, If you are talking of the steam loc, it's a 121 PLM, pulling omnibus #309 between Vintimille (on the italian border) and Marseille, with more than 50 stops as La Ciotat. Here is a link with more pictures of this beautiful engine. Enjoy. Quote
