Hinckley Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Thanks to EB member grogall for posting this excellent news! (also) thanks to the Brothers Brick LEGO signs deal with NASA Thanks to grogall for the pictures NASA and LEGO are partnering up to promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM)! NASA will actually be launching a LEGO Space Shuttle into space!...along with the Shuttle Discovery, of course. The official motto of the partnership is "Building and Exploring Our Future." From the official Press Release: As part of the Space Act Agreement, NASA will send special LEGO sets to the International Space Station aboard shuttle Endeavour's STS-134 mission in February 2011. The sets will be assembled by astronauts on-orbit and by children and student groups across the country. The construction process and activities with the sets will demonstrate the challenges faced when building things in the microgravity environment of space. Discuss this news here and thanks to grogall and Brothers Brick! Edit by Hinckley: Apologies about the confusion over the source of this. I first read it on Brothers-Brick, but EB member grogall had posted the topic yesterday. Sorry!
