Solitary Dark Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 (edited) If there is something that can effectively compete with my Lego time its Doctor Who. (Fortunately that's what the trip to work and the Ipod were designed for) I've long wanted to merge the two, as have many others, and I cannot compete with the marvellous style of Doctor Sinister or Mark Stafford, so I've decided to go a different way. Most of my stuff ends up getting played with by an enthusiastic 7 year old, just getting into Who, so it was time to build a tardis. I've built a number of physical prototypes, but have now designed the final plan version in LDD, but thought I'd post here and see what y'all think before I commit to Bricklink orders! This is not based on any specific era - I'm non-commital to any specific Doctor, so I've kept the style generic. Love to hear your thoughts. Edited November 3, 2010 by mookage Quote
bricked one Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 I'm not exactly sure what a tardis is but it looks very nice. I think I'll turn it into a very nice telephone booth. Quote
jnfindley Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Love to hear your thoughts. It needs to be a bit bigger on the inside. Seriously though, I like it. It captures the doors and the center console very well on this scale. Well done. Quote
plokoon 4 life! Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 I'm not exactly sure what a tardis is Who hasn't heard of the tardis. You know, Dr who? Quote
NovaStar Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 I love the idea of haing a tardis so the booth opens right out (where effectively it IS bigger on the inside) - nice concept and Il ook forward to seeing where you go with it Quote
Wout Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 @ Plokoon 4 life!: Not everybody can know who Doctor Who is. @ Bricked one: wikilink I hope this link will help you. A nice design with an easy way to get to the inside. Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Interesting design 'mookage', but you forgot to include........'Yes, Master.' Keep on time travelling ! Quote
KDog Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 The mini console inside the TARDIS door is brilliant. I'd love to see the actual model. Might want to order one myself! Quote
tedbeard Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 Very nice design. Now if we can just get Tommy to commit to stocking the engraved TARDIS plates(scroll down) on a regular basis... Quote

But its done. You'll also find images on my Flick page (Link below) oh and 'Lightningtiger', one word. 'Affirmative' Quote
