Enrique Shepard's Aerial Atom Lego RC Car

On his YouTube channel, "kikeshepard" (Enrique Shepard) demonstrates his Lego RC car model of the AERIAL ATOM 3. As one can see from the images below (from Motorator), this open-air, two-seater has an exterior ladder frame that's just BEGGING to be modeled in Lego Technic!

This is a very nice model! I like how it handles via RC. My only concern is the smooth angle tiles at the back--they look like non-LEGO parts to me. Otherwise, I'm very impressed!

I've always loved the atom. For £30,000 you get the performance of a £300,000 car.

I agree that it's awesome looks is begging to be realised in technic, here is another try by everyonesgrudge.

It even features a push rod actuated gearbox, although it's hard to tell exactly how well it works from the pictures.

The Atom is definetaly my favorite sports car, ever built. I first saw it on Top Gear a few years ago.

I kept expecting to see it powerslide through the frames.
