DarthSion Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 http://au.movies.ign.com/articles/113/1130435p1.html Looks like Lucas is doing the Indiana Jones in 3D, not surprised given he is doing star wars. Quote
RoryoCox Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 (edited) Interesting. I have to agree with some of the comments in that link though, I would rather have one new film rather that four 3D versions. Still, it will be nice to see them on the big screen again. Brickdoctor Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Wait, so is he going to do IJ 3D, SW 3D, SW Eps. 7, 8, 9, and IJ 5 all in the span of 10 years? Quote
DarthSion Posted October 27, 2010 Author Posted October 27, 2010 Seriously after episode 4 you want a new movie, no offence but what is wrong with you, besides he is supposed to be doing a 5th one too. Quote

Clone OPatra Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 What are you talking about SW Episodes 7,8 and 9? There's nothing about that. Where did you get that information? As to Indy in 3D, I think it's dumb. Converted 3D movies really don't look all that good, it's the ones that were shot in 3D that are actually something spectacular. I can see why they're doing it ($), but it's not going to draw me to the theater to fork over the cash. What's more, there is an edit to the story saying that the information is false. I can certainly still see it happening someday, though. Quote
DarthSion Posted October 28, 2010 Author Posted October 28, 2010 Even if this is the only website you visit, how can you not know, its been over every site the same rumour from like 4 months ago is back, it was talked about in the star wars thread that Lucas is making 3 more movies. Rumour is he is doing the 3D with all SW and IJ to get the money to self fund 3 more SW movies, of course if its true, and if he is alive still in 2015 when he will be in his 70s. Quote
RileyC Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 I cant see why they would want to do Indy in 3D other than for the money. I dont get just because Star Wars is going to become 3D then Indy also needs the treatment. I can see how 3D may improve the Star Wars experience being space-y and all, but Indy? Really? Mind you I will probably go see it just because I can get to see Indian Jones in the theatre. Quote

Sam Vimes Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 I am not so sure about this, What parts in Indiana Jones that you can do 3D in ? And Also do we really need to have it in 3D ? Also I am a Citzen now yahoo. Quote
DarthSion Posted November 17, 2010 Author Posted November 17, 2010 Fact, Lucas said himself the live action TV show will cost 50million to do, he is self funding, which is why SW and IJ are going 3d. Quote
CMP Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 He's like 70. Of course he's trying to do everything at once quickly. Quote
The Legonater Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 Personally, the only movies that will look better in 3D is the fourth one- and that's really only the chase. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Personally, the only movies that will look better in 3D is the fourth one- and that's really only the chase. The Venice Boat chase from Crusade would be pretty cool in 3D- like the shot where the boat flies out from between the cargo ships and explodes. Quote

True, as would the fighter and motorcycle chase. And ToD might look nice in 3D, what with the two epic chases. But Raiders wouldn't really have much to gain... excpet the classic boulder chase. Quote

The Legonater Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Evidently, you think any chase would look good in 3D, huh? Makes sense though. Well... yeah However, Indy has a lot of those. But I don't think the truck and tank chases would looks good, they don't have anything really 3D-ish about them. Quote

The scene where the tank blows up the car and the wheel bounces away might look good in 3D. And what about the horse-tank chase? Quote

I guess, but really- they only other shots that could be cool with 3D would be bullets whizzing by, which might look wierd. Quote
