Priest: Medieval helmet cut and painted by me. Halo warrior: Helmet sculpted and painted by me. Chinese warrior. Weapon hand sculpted and painted by me. Hope you enjoyed. Please C&C. Thanks Quote
BrickArtist Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 nice job! holocron idea is genius, halo head is a little big but smooth and shiny. Quote
remrem Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Okay, help me out, I don't get this. I have been reading this forum for quite a while now but very often comments about custom minifigs don't make sense. The customs made by the OP are crude. The halo helmet is not smooth. It looks like an unshaped plastic blop. You can still see where the keychain part was removed from the Cody helmet. Then again, when someone presents much better customs here, people start nitpicking. Do they know more details? Like those customs were made by an adult and those by a five year old? Quote

I guess it's up for debate, but for me it's more about the creative ideas. Something that looks professional is always nice, and there's many examples of people whose creations have been sanded with virgin angel hairs, but it seems people forget that not everybody is able to produce things to that level, or that they're just starting out (including me). Anyhow... using the minifig trophy for the hologram projector was a stroke of genius; it's just a shame it's not available in a transparent colour. Well done on the medieval helmet and weapon too. Baylego Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 My favorite has to be Cody! That hologram was just great. I will have to do that with mine now! Quote
BrickArtist Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Remrem, i see where you coming from, but the reason for the nitpicking is that more experienced customizers are expected to produce professional looking customs. One the other hand this is a somewhat rude comment coming from a vassal... Quote

You try and make them, then. I think they all look fine. I should do that with my minifig trophy... Quote
Sam Vimes Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Very good job with this and where did the mini mini fig guy come from. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 I really like the hologram using the minifig trophy - very unique and clever idea. Nice job darth yogi! Very good job with this and where did the mini mini fig guy come from. It came from the Karate guy in the Collectible Minifigure Series 2. Quote
