Loosely inspired by Romance of the Three Kingdoms so some ideas will be borrowed. But I will be using Lego factions such as Crown Knights and later on Dragon Knights, Lion Knights, Trolls, Dwarves, Undead, whatever I can scrounge up. I guess this acts as a preview. Not sure what kind of format I want the films to be. Whether episodes with a continuous storyline, or just random unrelated scenes. Will be a mixed bag. Sometimes it will be dialogue heavy, other times it will be mostly action. Future releases will be longer obviously.

I will make a new post in this thread as I make more videos in this series.

Very interesting for your first video. I could recognised this was actually a secret plot devised by Cao Cao and his strategist to help ease the low level of ration by killing the cook who is later framed by Cao Cao that he was stealing ration out of the camp and eventually got his head chopped and ends up getting the army morale up and fiery.

Thank you for making this! I really enjoyed the music and minifig talking technique animation you added to the second film. Reminded me of a video game. The human execution was great and I like the Troll-on-the-left's positioning. It's as if he's supposed to be at attention looking forward yet he had to take a quick peek. Good job, I'm anxious to see more.

WhiteFang, glad that you know the reference. I am fond of that book. I probably should have explained it more in the video though.

Thanks Jebediahs. It's going to take a while before I finish the next episode though.

Very good video quality and plot, just one thing, can you tape the set down so it doesn't look like there is an earthquake going on. good job by the way with the mouths

Sorry about that. I didn't have room for a tripod so I built one out of lego which did not have a tight grip on the camera.

But I recently got a webcam so I should be able to do stop motion videos with a stable camera now.

It took me a long time for me to finish Episode 2 because I was working on other videos and I sort of lost motivation at the beginning. But now its finished. Around half dialogue and half action.

I loved the sound work in this one. The sound effects during the final fight scene were great and I like your "whoosh" sound. The animation is a lot better with your new camera and I thought the voices were great too.

You heard da boss, moooovve out!

That was my favorite line to record. I did my best to make humorous sound effects. I will probably do amateur stop motion forever but at least I should make the best amateur stop motion I can. Yea I am now using a webcam and it is much better.

I bought a bunch of Lego recently (second Battle of Alamut, Prison Tower Rescue, King's Castle, and Garmadon's Dark Fortress) so the next video will take even longer but I intend to have some sort of castle or outpost in the next animation.

Hi!

Those are pretty nice. I have only watched the first one completely (haven't got much time) and I like the ending twist very much.

One suggestion, though: I don't know what software you use if at all, but you seem to have a problem with constant lighting. Try setting your camera to manual mode! Then it will not go crazy like that. Besides, if you don't utilise it already, the 3-lamp system is pretty neat and makes for perfect constant lighting - it's just three desk lamps over your set.

Hope that helped! And pardon me if you already knew. :classic:

Cheers!

PS: the lighting thing refers to the second video

The lighting issue is because I use sunlight during the day and artificial light during the night. Plus I tend to watch tv while filming the scenes so I might start at 11am and then finish a scene at 2pm. Even though the scene itself is like 5 seconds. Yea I got a problem.

Well now I have a webcam that allows me to adjust exposure, my lighting should be more consistent. But now for the most part I do most of my filming during the night to avoid the varying sunlight problem.

Why don't you just shut the roller blinds? :P

Can't deny my house of the free hat from the sun. And closing the blinds doesn't stop the sun from setting so the lighting would still be inconsistent.
