paanjang16 Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Below is a MOC I build that thought I share with you guys. Decided to take parts from the 3221 Lego truck and other yellow pieces from my stash to create a Lego locomotive. Now Lego have a dedicated train car to transport Lego. The locomotive is based off the RC train locomotive base. Some of the parts I took from the Cargo train set. A storage car is connected to the locomotive. The closeup of the front of the locomotive. As you can see, I used a transparent 1x2 brick to cover the lights which was used in the Cargo train deluxe set which is green in color. It has lights in the cabin area and ligths on top of the train car! I used the lights from my other 9V sets which are compatible withe the 9V system used by the train. Comments and compliments welcome! Quote
Legostein Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 (edited) Hello! I am not a trains expert, but I think it's an original idea bringing the truck on track. It's what everyone talks about regarding nature issues, bringing more transports from road to train tracks. The locomotive represents a good hybrid between a normal road truck and a diesel engine, having characteristics of both of them. Cheers, ~ Christopher Edited October 24, 2010 by Legostein Quote
Vodaviman Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 I like it! I am looking for ideas to come with my own design for a powered train and I really like this idea! I don't have a 3221 set but I do have an extra TOYSRUS 7848 Set =). Vodaviman Quote
Locomotive Annie Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 It's like an up-dated 'galloping goose'. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 I hope that the yellow wagon transports many boxes of lego set! The lights are the icing on the cake! Thanks for sharing! Quote
Hrw-Amen Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 It certainly looks like that truck in train form. It is obviously that which you have used to base your idea on. Good to see the trailer as well, but as a train it could do with a few more trailers like that, then they could transport even more LEGO boxes to the CITY store! Maybe you could make good ones out of other LEGO sets which would identify with what they originally were? Quote
