Did Lego ever do a Bowler/Derby hat?

But you're right, there aren't any that are really for regular system minifigs.

No they haven't, yes they should, and it's been discussed a bunch of times previously (though I'll be damned if I can find any of them).

I'll be keeping that design in mind for sure. Rubber bands can really make some good head gear if combined with the right object. This turban uses a similar technique: by timgould on Brickshelf
