so its late, and I was reading the web-comic XKCD (full of geeky humor)

Anyways, in a comic from a few weeks ago, he made a map of the internet as a world globe. Brickshelf is listed.

so, its Lego related.

Here is the link:Online communities

Just thought it was worth noting.

We now return to your regular web browsing.

I did see that actually, but I did not see Eurobricks nor any other Lego related site and thus was disappointed.

It's near Buzzword Bay if anyone's looking for it.

Yeah I already saw this map a couple of weeks ago. I never even bothered to check-out if any lego-related websites are in the map (thanks for pointing out Brickshelf). Which now leads me to curiously think, how does Eurobricks compare to non-lego and other lego-related websites/forums in terms of overall acitivity?

Thanks for the tip Artanis.

I'm sure Eurobricks is over shadowed by hundreds of other forums, but at the rate we're growing right now...

Yeah, obviously we pale in comparison versus non-lego-based forums, but against other lego-based forums, I would assume EB is the most active one around, right?

Who ever guessed Brickshelf was so big?

Really, honestly I would've thought that here or maybe MOCpages was more active than there

Interesting. I missed that on my first check.

I wouldn't. Maybe that's because I stopped using it a few years ago- it's not a very great way to share pics, IMO. [flickradvertisement]Flickr is so much nicer. People can comment on pics, and you can upload multiples at a time. [/flickradvertisement]

I would hope we are the largest AFOL community, we do have 12000+ members.

And that was Corvus's Flickr advertising for the day!

But I have to admit I am surprised that Brickshelf is there. If only EB could take the spot of FarmVille and happy farm. :cry_happy:

Yes; flickr is better than Brickshelf but it's not very user friendly when it comes to viewing pictures. By now I should have learned to like it but I can't. I much prefer Picasa.
