How do you build yours?

Just wondering if I'm the only person who does this...

Nowadays, sets come in different numbered bags with their own instruction booklet to make building them easier. Always believing that the building is the best part, I rebel against the establishment and dump the contents of all the bags into a big tub and spend twice as long putting it together X-D

Yeah, I follow your route. Just the old dumping tradition. I like exploring the set, and I've recently got into seeing if I can build the set without using the instructions as much.

I'm not a fan of the new packaging either (surprise ;-) ) but since I'm normally just parting out the sets I don't have the extra time to give to building/sorting... I want it all to go on MOCing!

really? i never noticed that so i usually open all bags and find the parts as i go along.

I dump it all on 1 big pile and search for bricks when I need them. Pretty slow, but I don't really care (the sandcrawler took me around 4 hours to build this way)

I mostly just dump them all into one large pile, like you. But if it's a really large set, I'll seperate the pieces into their own piles. :-)

I accually open the bags in the order the instructions say. X-D

But sometime I mite try the dumping thing for something different.

when I bougth a set, the firts thing I do is to look in the catalogue and try to build it in my mind. I try to see how it is built. but it not always easy! when I open the box, I shake all the pieces and I take a time to examiated them, searcging the new ones. after that I built and I can compare if the building is the same than I have imaginated!

I just dump the parts, not because I'm looking for good ones, just out of laziness.

I used to follow the isntructions to the letter and open the bags in order but now I just dump X-D

If it's a small set with just one bag,

Like a Tiny Turbo, or XPod;

I'll build it inside the bag without opening it.
