Liutas Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 Greetings all. I'm a long time Lego enthusiast, although I gave it up for quite some time when I "grew up", not realizing that it was actually ok to "play" with toys as an "adult." ;) I would occasionally pick up a set and build it quietly at home when nobody was there. I guess you could say I was a closet afol, not knowing there was a whole community of us out there. Then a couple years ago my wife and I, along with some friends were visiting the train museum at Balboa Park in San Diego and when I saw the Lego train display I knew I was hooked again. So after drooling over pics on the interwebz I finally, today, picked up my first Lego train set, the 7939 Cargo Train. It was not easy to find, I think I visited about a dozen stores in the area looking for it, when I finally found one in stock at a toys r us, I knew I wasn't letting it go. I came directly home and started assembling the cars. I don't really have room to start any kind of set up but I had to lay out the track on the floor just to see it all run. I literally feel like a kid again. I'm sure you all know the feeling, I can't wait to build my collection and to start laying out a track and, oh my god, design my first MOC. Anyway, that's my story, or at least enough of it to bore you to tears for now. Quote
