supersympa Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 I went to my local TRU yesterday to buy the 7599 garbage truck (which is great by the way) and i saw they were selling on different references blue and white box on toy story sets... i have tried to look for it on forum and internet...and i cannot find my answer.. is it a TRU edition? or a good way to sell two boxes since collector (like me) wants all the different boxes and will buy 2.... any answers welcome! Oky Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 No, the white box editions are not TRU exclusive. I have seen them at Target and Walmart too. The content of them is exactly the same as the blue box editions, just a different box. Quote
squidman85 Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 is it a TRU edition? No,it isn't.Many stores sell them, since June.Boxes just redesigned to fit the Toy Story 3 boxes.. Quote
Darth Jar Jar Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 But the question is which ones going to be worth more I think it will be the blue one Quote
supersympa Posted October 18, 2010 Author Posted October 18, 2010 so it is 2 different boxes..no limited edition. smart way of selling more if you are a collector! Quote
Aanchir Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 I actually wouldn't be totally sure whether or not the two boxes have any internal differences... after all, just last year a certain BIONICLE set was sold with two separate boxes. One was in the first half of the year with a rather plain design, while the other had a more elaborate design to promote the BIONICLE movie that was out at the time. The more elaborate, later design had the same set number as the previous version, but had one not-too-prominent difference: the eyes were transparent yellow rather than transparent fluorescent green (trans-neon green). So there might be a slight difference that fans haven't picked up on. But it won't be anything that vastly affects the design by any means (or the versatility of the parts, as if there are any color changes I doubt any would include parts in colors they hadn't appeared in before). In almost all cases, same set number and same set name means that you can expect to find the same set inside. Quote
