Masked Builder Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 They look pretty good! Though they're a bit small. Quote
duncan Posted October 17, 2010 Author Posted October 17, 2010 these arent the big crab droids masked builder Quote
Brickdoctor Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 these arent the big crab droids masked builder According to Wookieepedia, there's only one model of crab droid, and it measures 1.49 meters high by 6 meters long. Your models are, in fact, too small. Quote
duncan Posted October 17, 2010 Author Posted October 17, 2010 sorry but wookiepedia like all wiki sites allow anyone to post stuff on the site, also im pretty sure the crab droid in this picture isnt 6m long http://www.google.com.au/imgres?imgurl=http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20070214003213/starwars/images/d/d8/Crabdroid_bg.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.inetgiant.com.ph/AdDetails/Star-Wars-ROTS-CRAB-DROID/2476776&h=450&w=525&sz=68&tbnid=OdIdgfe7Qz2R1M:&tbnh=113&tbnw=132&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dstarwars%2Bcrab%2Bdroid&zoom=1&q=starwars+crab+droid&usg=__aIfxyzfGwjqLHnT6bUEFDFvKPS8=&sa=X&ei=2qe6TPnHN4zRcduatYYN&ved=0CB8Q9QEwAQ from the episode 3 and on wookieepedia http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/LM-432_crab_droid has the same picture and sais "A clone trooper destroys a crab droid during the Battle of Utapau" Quote
Brickdoctor Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 It's called perspective, and it's hard to judge distance in a head-on photo. Look at this picture, from the same Wookieepedia page, which clearly shows it's length. Maybe not 6 meters, but at least four, in which case your models are still too small: Quote
Forresto Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Actually there are different kinds of Crab Droids! If I remember correctly, different attachments were available for the Crab droid and that they came in different sizes. Yours aren't the first i've seen to be this size so good job Quote

Other variants of the LM-432 crab droid included tiny models for espionage and giant versions that served as mobile armor, which were capable of taking on Jedi. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Those are clearly not the SW crab droids, nevertheless the alternate designs are diversely good, looks like you had fun messing around the crab droid-ish design duncan. Quote
