josykay Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 (edited) I thought, the "Fantasy-Era" of Castle was over... but after reading the description of 852920-1: Dragon Armor it seems, that there could be a return of skellies, dwarfs and trolls: Join the army of the LEGO Kingdoms' Evil Wizard and suit up for battle with this armor and cape set! Wear the dragon seal as you attack the Good King's knights with your fire-breathing dragons and army of skeleton soldiers! I am confused, because the new Kingdoms serie seems to be a brandnew Castle subtheme with no links to the old Knights Kingdom I+II and the fantasy era. Will there be a next "Fantasy Castle" in the future? There is not really much fantasy in the new serie (That wizard seems to be an alchemist with all those potions and the redesigned scroll and that "unicorn" is just a barded horse). I did not realy like the "Fantasy Castle" (Although the crownies are awesome),so i hope that description is not an omen for "Fantasy reloaded". PS: How can I change the topics title to "Fantasy reloaded?" Edited October 13, 2010 by josykay Quote
Artanis I Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 I fully agree with you there, and let's just hope that whoever wrote that description doesn't know what they're talking about! I do like the look of the costume though! Quote
Shroffy123 Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 (edited) Which set is 852920-1? Nevermind Edited October 13, 2010 by Shroffy123 Quote
Admiral Ron Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 Perhaps this is because of kids who got the older "armor". They can all play along. That's my theory Quote
Darth Jar Jar Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 Perhaps this is because of kids who got the older "armor". They can all play along. That's my theory But the problem with that is lego wants them to buy the new one Quote
BearHeart Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 I'd bet money that that description is just referencing the old "Castle" line and its not a sign of whats in store in the future. Then again, I don't know how popular the Kingdoms line is with kids and maybe LEGO is planning to bring back the fantasy elements. I think the skeletons/orcs/trolls etc were pretty popular with kids a few years back. Quote

Lordofdragonss Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 I hope this is continuation. I would love to see some new Trolls/Ogres/Dwarfs in the future. Also new sets have dragons (Ok just the Magician impulse), so we are still in fantasy world! Quote
Bingo Little Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 I'd love to see some more dwarves, because I was bloody stupid enough not to get any. The trolls, I can pass on. Skeletons with posable arms I'd probably end up using way more than I think. But I sure do love the current Kingdoms approach, which seems to be "Remember the old castle themes? This is the awesomer version." Quote
Sir Fred Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 The crossbow from the Fantasy Era had the description about defending the forest and we never got elves (series 3 minifigures don't count for the line), so I wouldn't really trust the gear to be hints for what is coming in the future of the line.
