The Yellow Brick Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Thanks for the kind comments 'The Red Brick' - the only thing I have done in the last two days has been the spirit rack.....I still must find that clear door to go in that frame. I still must decide on the dinning table(s) design yet.....any suggestions ? Keep on commenting ! sometimes the most simple designs are the most effective, keep that in mind about the tables Quote

lightningtiger Posted October 20, 2010 Author Posted October 20, 2010 G'day everyone, quick update..... Now, if I may ask......is the roof high enough....3 rows of roof slope pieces ? Once the roof is done, back to the dinning room - hardest thing to do all would you beleive ? Then of course my famous stickering to come yet - so as usual comments are welcome and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Fires-storm Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 Well done so far, its looking beautiful! As to the roof, I kind of think it would look better at 4, or maybe even 5, slopes high. Other then that the entire thing is just beautiful! A brilliant choice to have the white outlines and red roof Quote
lightningtiger Posted October 20, 2010 Author Posted October 20, 2010 Thanks for the comments and sugguestions 'Fires-Storm' , okay so another row or two...I'll see how one extra looks first though before the second extra row of slope roof pieces. Pictures later on today, so keep on watching ! Quote
Mrlegoninja Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 Lookin good! I like the way you made the rain gutter. Great work. Quote

lightningtiger Posted October 23, 2010 Author Posted October 23, 2010 Thanks 'FiresStorm' for your kind comments. I forgot to say that I must also plan a piece of artwork to hang on the wall up stairs in thw dining room. So keep watching......more tomorrow (I hope) ! Quote
sens1992 Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 Once again, great work here Lightingtiger! I really like the interior of your hotel... Beer taps.... hum beeeer... lol Quote
Mrlegoninja Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 Looking good! I like how you made the light. Now all you need is a bed! I'm a conformist!! Quote
gotoAndLego Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 Nice taps. In fleshing out the interior of Nizam's Persian Restaurant I didi them similarly but with antenna on top for the pulls. I may see how that looks instead of mine. Quote
lightningtiger Posted October 23, 2010 Author Posted October 23, 2010 Thanks 'gotoAndLego', 'Mrlegoninja' and 'sens1992' for your kind comments. In looking at bar taps in pubs I noted how they operated with the tap lever, hence my design takes that in to consideration. I have started on the furniture, again trying to use art deco ideas for the table and buffet - this item will sit by the door and have a bowl/large dish with fruit sitting on top. A more fancy light fitting for the dining room and a ceiling fan/light for the front bar has to be designed yet. Still a big W-I-P, so keep on watching ! Quote
lightningtiger Posted October 24, 2010 Author Posted October 24, 2010 Update time..... Here you can see the table with wine glasses and wine list stand on it and the platter on an art deco style (I hope) buffet. To mount the buffet I had to use a tan tech brick, so hide the pins holding the buffet to the wall I placed a magazine rack with books/magazines in there. More to come tomorrow so keep on watching ! BrickWild Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Keep up the good work! Are you going to build it in LDD? Quote
lightningtiger Posted October 24, 2010 Author Posted October 24, 2010 Keep up the good work! Are you going to build it in LDD? Thanks 'BrickWild' for your kind comments, well funny use should say LDD, no to the building but the front bar I did the first design draft in LDD. I don't often use LDD unless I'm stuck to work out an idea or a like. So.......yeah, yeah, keep on......! Quote
lightningtiger Posted October 25, 2010 Author Posted October 25, 2010 Update time..... Comments welcome......just watch your head on the ceiling fan and check out the racing on the tele in the front bar or take a peep at the old Penfolds Port mirror. I'm a conformist! ! Quote
