G'day everyone, another MOC has been started on the spare of the moment, it's W-I-P and it's going to be a big one too !

On stripping some older sets at home, the Creator Family House I thought would once MOD'ed would fit in my town.

But then the light bulb above my head flashed on.......a 1930's Australian hotel....South Australian that should be (NO VB guy's  ).....at least two storey with a front bar on the ground floor and accomadation up stairs.

Anyway......

So you can see there is much more to do outside and in of course, a bar with beer taps, maybe some outdoor sitting with a drunk falling to sleep on them.

I will say now NO to poker machines.....but PubTAB maybe !

Comments and other suggestions welcome......so keep on.....you know the rest !

Thanks for the comments 'Barteck' and 'The Red Brick' :classic: , I'll be working all day on this so later on I'll have the second storey completed (externally of course.....once all the external building (minus tiling) is done then I'll turn to interior and final triming.

Keep on.....you know that thing we do with these plastic things !

This looks great. Love the tiles in the entrance. Can't wait to see it finished.

Thank you 'Drexlore' :sweet: , I was a bit bored this morning and have gone against what I wrote, I'll do some ground floor interior today as well starting on the second storey, as well as finishing a delivery truck for the hardware store plus work on the Honda bike dealership ....oh yeah, a site office and diesel tank for the council depot.....whew !

Keep on .......everyone knows what I'm about to say !

Very nice start to this Pub. Are you basing it on any pictures or places in particular? Because most (well every one that I can recall) pubs have a verandah! Even if it is just a small one.

Question.....Do the tan log bricks look okay where they are ?

I'm aiming at doing this hotel in an art deco fashion......hopefully !

Comments welcome, etc., etc., etc.,. (The King & I)

Looks good so far, about the logs I think they looks okay right where they are :sweet:

Thanks 'Darth Jar Jar' for your comments, I'm going to start the log bricks one row lower, reposting tomorrow !

Yeah I think one row lower is the way to go for those, but other then that this whole thing looks great so far, the bar detailing is nice, and the upper story is looking good so far! I can't wait to see how this turns out, so keep bricking!:thumbup:

Ah, this is Penfolds.....penfold.jpg:grin:

Oh, here's a little story and yes it's in thousands of dollars......

A 12 litre bottle (a balthazar) of 1997 Penfolds Grange and a 6 litre bottle (an imperial) of 1998 Penfolds Grange both attracted record prices of over AUD$50,000 each - double the auctioneer’s estimates and both bottles representing the highest prices ever achieved for single bottles of Australian wine.

The imperial of 1998 Penfolds Grange set a record price of AUD$54,480 and the balthazar of 1997 Penfolds Grange a record price of AUD$53,346. These remarkable wine prices were highlights of Langton’s Shiraz Australia II online wine auction held this evening (Monday January 20, 2003).

Now you wouldn't want to drop one of those bottles eh ?
