lightningtiger Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 Not bad at all 'bricked one' and I can't wait to see the real brick-built 911 ! I'm a conformist! ! Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 Very interesting LDD design bricked one. I see some unconventional yet quite effective connections there (the clips). Nice overall sleek shape, it would be nice to see this in real bricks. Good job! Quote
bricked one Posted October 4, 2010 Author Posted October 4, 2010 Thank for you comments, "KielDaMan" and "lightningtiger". And I have added another pic. Quote
Flare Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 Cool car! It looks pretty good, can't wait to see the real life model! Quote
Masked Builder Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 That looks pretty sweet! It looks like it could fit a minifigure can it? Quote
Big Cam Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 Not too shabby. Its a bit older than I was expecting, I assumed it'd be a newer version, and at the same time I was curious how you were going to fabricate the flush headlights, but with making an older model year, you've bypassed my question all together. Nice job recreating my favorite sports car. Quote
Aanchir Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 Beautiful work! Of course, using those style of clips with those tiles is obviously an illegal connection, hence why LDD won't allow it. Are you sure there's not a more legal way to cover the gap? Great work regardless. Quote
prateek Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 Awesome! The only thing I'd change is the roof. It should be more rounded. Quote
bricked one Posted October 4, 2010 Author Posted October 4, 2010 (edited) That looks pretty sweet! It looks like it could fit a minifigure can it? It can fit two minifigs.(Its really tight though) Not too shabby. Its a bit older than I was expecting, I assumed it'd be a newer version, and at the same time I was curious how you were going to fabricate the flush headlights, but with making an older model year, you've bypassed my question all together. Nice job recreating my favorite sports car. Thats exactly why I made the older model. Awesome! The only thing I'd change is the roof. It should be more rounded. Yeah, but then the back would look a little weird. And I have added another pic. Edited October 4, 2010 by bricked one Quote
Fuzzylegobricks Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 can you send me the ldd file i like to collect on peoples creations and have a gallery to look at to get ideas. Finn.Mander@me.com Quote
bricked one Posted October 6, 2010 Author Posted October 6, 2010 There are real pics now! (scroll up) Quote
prateek Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Awesome! It looks so much cooler in real bricks. I actually had no idea that the doors worked until now Quote
SilentMode Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Brilliant execution, I was particularly impressed with the back of the vehicle, as well as the fact two figures fit inside. Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 Not bad piece of LDD work 'bricked one' - I'm a little worried about the strength of the roof though. Good job anyway and keep on LDDing ! Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 The brickbuilt model looks great! I understand the fragility of the roof, since it's more of a model than a play toy right? Quote
Darth Jar Jar Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 (edited) This is great though that roof looks a little fragile.... Nice work in LDD as well Edited November 10, 2010 by Darth Jar Jar Quote
bricked one Posted November 10, 2010 Author Posted November 10, 2010 Actually, it really strong for some odd reason, the weakest connection is actually the windshield, other than that, it only brakes by someone stepping on it or something like that. Quote
buddy Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 Amazing MOC, bricked one! The Porsche is very realistic. I like the newer version, it looks more accurate and realistic. I like the way you have connected the roof and windshield. Very well done. ~buddy~ Quote
bricked one Posted November 11, 2010 Author Posted November 11, 2010 Any suggestions on the design? It still doesn't look right to me, not even the brick built version on my desk. Quote
Fuzzylegobricks Posted November 11, 2010 Posted November 11, 2010 Any suggestions on the design? It still doesn't look right to me, not even the brick built version on my desk. Maybe on the black tubes for the windshield you could add something on top of those so it doesnt look so blank Quote
