Ceroknight Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Indeed! Let's finish this! I'll need someone to duel once I'm done with Miss Fabray if you're up for it. I'm up
Tamamono Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Another great duel, ceroknight, and many thanks to KDM for adjudicating again! Cornelius Murdock, would you like to duel?
Admiral Ron Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Johann would like to duel, he needs to become a Dark Lord, like he envisioned in his youth.
CorneliusMurdock Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 (edited) Wizard Duel Sudden Death Diana Fabray | 2------Vs.-----Okay Turkoglu | 2 Expelliarmus ~ 0 ---------------------- Stupefy ~ 0 Crucio ~ 1 -----------------------Mid ~ 0 Mid ~ 0 ----------------------- Expelliarmus ~ 0 Low ~ 0 ------------------- High ~ 1 Mid ~ 0 ----------------------- Low ~ 1 Health: 2 --------------------- Health: 1 Diana retrieves her wand on time to disarm Turkoglu, preventing his stunning spell. She then uses her cruciatus curse on him once again. Okay writhes in pain and screams on the ground. Suddenly a light emanating from the end of a wand appears at the entrance to the alley and it's bearer steps forward with a few other wizards. Fabray, knowing that she cannot defeat multiple opponents in her weakened state, disapparates leaving Turkolgu passed out unconscious in the mud. The passersby take the injured Hufflepuff to a healer to have his wounds mended. A hard fought match, guys. Update your profiles accordingly. Edit: KDM reminded me that the first duelist to score a hit wins in sudden death. Edited to correctly reflect this. Cornelius Murdock, would you like to duel? Technically, I'm still dueling CF. I would like to duel, though. Edited April 28, 2011 by CorneliusMurdock
Oky Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Phew! Just managed to make my comeback in the last second! Good duel, KDM, and thanks for the excellent adjudicating, CM! So, who wants to adj for me and CK?
XimenaPaulina Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 Uhm CM, first one to deal damage in the Sudden Death Round wins. So technically, Ms. Fabray should've won. Thanks for the ADJ BTW. Rounds & Sudden Death If both characters are tied on health at the end of the 3rd round, a sudden death round is played. The first character to be dealt damage loses the duel. Phew! Just managed to make my comeback in the last second! Good duel, KDM, and thanks for the excellent adjudicating, CM! Sorry Oky I have to take away the win from you that way.. Anyway great duel too, definitely one of the best I've had in a long time. So, who wants to adj for me and CK? I would, send your DSs to me. Technically, I'm still dueling CF. I would like to duel, though. Yes you are, and CF's long absence is a bit unfair to you, so I'm issuing a last call to CF (through PM), if he doesn't respond within 24 hours, he'll forfeit the game and you'll earn the win.
CorneliusMurdock Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 Uhm CM, first one to deal damage in the Sudden Death Round wins. So technically, Ms. Fabray should've won. Thanks for the ADJ BTW. You're right. I should go back and change it. Sorry about that.
Oky Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 Darn. Oh well, I guess that's fair. Thanks for adjudicating. Round 1 DS sent.
XimenaPaulina Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 Gryffindor Student Clen Vierno versus Hufflepuff Magus Okay Turkoglu Round 1 Clen Vierno l 5 ____________________________Okay Turkoglu l 5 High - 1_____________________________________ Low - 0 Protego! - 0 __________________________________Mid - 0 Low - 0______________________________________Expelliarmus! - 0 Mid - 0_______________________________________Mid - 1 High - 0 ______________________________________Stupefy! - 1 Health: 3_____________________________________Health: 4 Two duelists looking to bounce back after recent losses are back in the dueling room, as Hufflepuff Okay Turkoglu continues to trek the road back to Aurorship, while Gryffindor Clen Vierno is still aiming for that elusive first win. The student immediately starts with a lightning-quick head shot that catches the Magus off-guard, drawing first blood in this match. Even if partly dizzied by the attack, Okay fires off a body spell that is blocked by a shield charm from the Gryffindor. The Hufflepuff continues to be aggressive, disarming Clen with an Expelliarmus and then hitting his opponent in the torso. With the student writhing in pain, Okay unleashes a powerful Stupefy that stuns him and deals him more damage, as the opening round draws to a close. Nice start by Clen, but Okay uses his distinct spell advantage in the latter portion of the round. It's still a close match nevertheless, and could go either way. Send in your Round 2 DS when ready.
XimenaPaulina Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Gryffindor Student Clen Vierno versus Hufflepuff Magus Okay Turkoglu Round 2 Clen Vierno l 3 ______________________________Okay Turkoglu l 4 Mid - 0______________________________________ Stupefy! - 1 Protego! - 0 __________________________________High - 0 Low - 1______________________________________Mid - 0 High - 0______________________________________Expelliarmus! - 0 Mid - 0 ______________________________________Low - 1 Health: 1_____________________________________Health: 3 After watching Clen vs. Kestrel four times, Okay has learned his opponent's weakness, and unleashes a powerful Stupefy, his opponent's 'weak spot', that once again gets the best of the Gryffindor. With the student stunned, the Magus tries to follow-up with a high-arching spell, but the Clen manages to put up a shield charm just in time. The Gryffindor then sees an opening and surprises Okay with a lightning-quick low spell that knocks the Hufflepuff to the ground. Even if downed to the ground, Okay was able to disarm Clen, and retaliates with his own low-sweeping spell that floors the Gryffindor too. Once again, Clen has his back against the wall going into the decisive round, and it just gets tougher as he'll have to try to turn this around against a more experienced and advanced duelist. Different opponent, same result for the still winless duelist, as Okay walks away moving closer to reclaiming his Auror status. Winner: Okay Turkoglu! Congratulations Oky! Congratulations CM! CF, I hope you understand the decision. You may now update your profiles accordingly
Oky Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Yay! I hope you let me keep this win, KDM. Nice duel, CK. CM, when you're done with CT, would you like to duel me? @ KDM: You should have written something like: "Suddenly Ollivander realized that he had no chance against the Hufflepuff, so he turned around and ran as fast as his short legs could carry him, declaring Frankfurt the automatic winner."
XimenaPaulina Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Yay! I hope you let me keep this win, KDM. Yes it's all yours this time, you rightfully earned it. @ KDM: You should have written something like: "Suddenly Ollivander realized that he had no chance against the Hufflepuff, so he turned around and ran as fast as his short legs could carry him, declaring Frankfurt the automatic winner." Nah, I don't wanna add more 'insult to injury'. CF might be too busy with real life now so I want to give him the benefit of the doubt.
CorneliusMurdock Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 I feel bad that it came to this. Hopefully CF is all right wherever he went. I think I can accept your challenge now, Captain Tamamono, if you're still game.

XimenaPaulina Posted April 29, 2011 Posted April 29, 2011 Hufflepuff Magus Frankfurt Flashburn versus Ravenclaw Adept Kestrel Kingfisher Round 1 Frankfurt Flashburn l 5 ______________________Kestrel Kingfisher l 5 Low - 0_____________________________________ Protego! - 0 Stupefy! - 0 __________________________________Expelliarmus! - 0 Expelliarmus! - 0_______________________________Mid - 0 Mid - 0_______________________________________Stupefy! - 1 Mid - 1 ______________________________________High - 0 Health: 4_____________________________________Health: 4 After finishing his mastery over Gryffindor rival Clen Vierno, newly-promoted Ravenclaw Adept Kestrel Kingfisher sets his sight on another target opponent, this time challenging the more experienced Hufflepuff Magus Frankfurt Flashburn, who readily accepts the challenge with getting back to Auror status in his mind. Flashburn immediately starts with a low-sweeping spell that is blocked by the Adept. The Ravenclaw then disarms the Magus with an Expelliarmus, but the Hufflepuff was quick to recover his wand and retaliates with his own disarming spell. Seeing his opponent weaponless, Flashburn tries to hit the Adept in the body, but Kestrel, showing lightning-quick reflexes, picks-up his wand on the floor and flicks an ultra-fast Stupefy that stuns the Hufflepuff. Even after being hit, Flashburn furiously fires back a body shot that goes through Kestrel's defense, slamming the Ravenclaw against the wall. What an exciting opening round! Spell for spell, attack for attack, both duelists are fiercely fighting mano-y-mano. Will we see a similar close match on the next round, or will someone gain a significant lead over the other? Send in your Round 2 DS when ready.

Kestrel begins by quickly disarming his opponent, only for the Hufflepuff to recover his wand easily and retaliates with his own Expelliarmus. With the Ravenclaw defenseless, the Magus seizes the opportunity and casts a head spell that dizzies the Adept. Flashburn follows-up with a body shot, and once again hits Kestrel in the torso. The Hufflepuff looks to put his opponent on the brink of defeat, unleashing a powerful Stupefy, but the Ravenclaw, mustering all of what remains of his energy, reclaims his wand and puts up a shield charm in time to survive this forgettable round. Flexing his experience advantage, Frankfurt Flashburn opens up a sizeable lead over Kestrel Kingfisher. Will the Ravenclaw stage a comeback in the decisive round, or will the Hufflepuff finally put an end on the Adept's winning streak? Send in your Round 3 DS when ready.
