She readied one of her deadly hexes, preparing to take down Okay Turkaglu once and for all. But as she sprang her trap, she recognized that the Auror was already mid-spell. Calling on all her skill as a Death Eater, she quickly changed to a shield charm. "It's been a while, Diana" said the Auror. "I intend to bring you to justice." "In your dreams" retorted Diana. The combatants tried a series of spells, each cancelling the other out. Okay attempted one last spell, only to meet Diana's shield once again. Send me your Round 2 DS when ready. I'm looking for someone willing to help me become an Auror. Any takers? I'd love to help you out there, CM, but I'm busy advancing Commander Fox right now.

He left the Great Hall and crossed the Entrance Hall in order to get to the Ravenclaw Tower to rest. In that moment, a furious Ollivander Dippet, dripping of dirt, came bursting through the front door. "Bloody hell, I can't believe I lost again! I'm the unluckiest guy in the Dueling Club!" he exclaimed. Walter raised an eyebrow: "You? No way, I am the unluckiest guy in school!" "Impossible," said Ollivander, "the last duel I saw you fight, you won. I can't even remember the last time I won a duel!" "But I have the highest loosing rate out of everyone. You're at least already a Magus!" "Yeah, an unlucky Magus!" "Trust me, I'm the unluckiest," Walter said frustratedly. "Oh yeah? Prove it!" replied Dippet and pulled out his wand. Walter took a deep breath and presented his as well. The Duel of the Luckless began... Walter tried to hit Ollivander's legs, but got disarmed before he could do so. He grabbed his wand off the floor and aimed at Dippet's head. But in that moment, Ollivander summoned his patronus which caused Walter to miss. Walter then tried to use the unforgivable curse on the Gryffindor, but Ollivander cast a shield charm just in time. Ollivander thought that after such an attack, Kovacs would create a shield as well, so he cast a silencing charm, but he was wrong. Walter hit him with a spell right in the chest. Trying to even the score again, Dippet started to say "Sectumsemp..." but was interrupted by another hit from Walter. After the first round, Walter is two points ahead! Looks like you might not be so luckless after all! Let's see those Round 2 DSs to see if CF can catch up!

A small crowd had started to gather, keeping their distnace, in case of wayward spells. Okay was the first to strike, sending a devestating spell meant to stun hi sfoe, but the Death Eater was faster, quickly bringing up her shield charm. Before he could speak his next spell, he found his body wracked with the most intense pain he had ever felt. The Cruciatus Curse! Diana would pay for this, he vowed. As the pain subsided, he tried his own devestating curse, and saw with satisfaction that it connected, covering Diana with hundreds of cuts. Enraged, Diana attempted to disarm the Auror, but found Okay attempting to do the same, as both spells fizzled. Okay's final attack met with Diana's well-timed Shield. Round 3 DSs, when you can. After the first round, Walter is two points ahead! Looks like you might not be so luckless after all! Let's see those Round 2 DSs to see if CF can catch up! It's still early. Firing two spells in rapid succession, both combatants were disappointed to see their spells produce red sparks between tehm. Seeing an advantage, Diana tried a hex to the legs, but instead caught a charm to the midsection that dropped her to one knee. With his opponent distracted, the Auror unleashed a Sectumsempra curse, and again Diana felt the sting of hundreds of flaying cuts. In desparation, she tried a hex to Okay's head, and was satisfied to see it connect. The crowd rushed forward to help Okay to his feet, and in the confusion, Diana dis-apparated away, defeated... Winner: Okay Turkaglu. Update your profiles accordingly. And I think each round you guys cancelled each others' Expelliarmus. I swear sometimes it seems like you are sending DSs to each other.

Walter tried hitting his opponent again, but Ollivander yelled "Protego" and the spell bounced off of his shield and hit a plant pot nearby, which exploded into thousands of pieces. Before Walter could make any other attempt, Ollivander disarmed him. However, the Ravenclaw quickly recovered his wand and shot another spell towards Dippet, who in order to protect himself summoned his patronus once more. Ollivander then tried to hit Walter's legs, but missed. Walter used this opportunity to cast a spell at Dippet's upper body, causing him to fly back, leaving a skid mark of dirt on the floor. With Ollivander lying on the floor, weakened, Walter approached him with his wand raised and with hopeful glow in his eyes... Two more points for Walter! Unless CF can pull of a perfect round, it's looking bleak for Ollivander. Send me your next DSs please!

I guess Diana needs to rest for a while, she achieved what she ultimately wanted, so a break might be needed (unless someone wants to face a DE ). Thanks again for the ADJ Walter!

However, the third one hit its target. Walter didn't like that, so he attempted to put the Cruciatus curse on Dippet, but the Gryffindor canceled the curse with another patronus. At the end of his strength, Ollivander tried shooting one more spell at Walter's face, but it too got blocked by the Ravenclaw. The spell bounced off of his shield and hit a knight's armor, sending it crashing onto the floor. Alarmed by all the racket, Argus Filch came running down the stairs. He paused and stared around the hall with a shocked expression on his face. His eyes wandered from the fallen armor to the exploded plant pot, over to the muddy floor, and back to the two duelers. "By Merlin's beard, are you insane?" he yelled. "Both of you, clean this mess up immediately! With no magic! If only I could whip the snot out of you, if only I could..." He walked off, muttering angrily, while Mrs. Norris stayed to supervise the cleaning. Walter and Ollivander gave each other angry looks and shuffled off to get some cleaning equipment. Walter was happy he won, but they were both still the unluckiest students of the school. Congrats, Walter! Good job! Of course, with only five wins, that's not saying much. Did you notice that last round KDM? I learned something from our duel . It's a shame I never get to use that kind of tactic. Now that I have a winning streak again, I feel the need to promptly lose it. Anyone game?

You learned well from (one of) the best. That's what I call the "Protego-your-way-to-preserve-your-victory" technique (patented by the one-and-only Ms.Fabray).
