TheWarden Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 One of my very old MOCS that I started before I was started getting into following LEGO online. Thus, it's a bit simpler and doesn't really show my current skill level. But it was fun to build. It's been displayed for around 2 years I think, and it's time to take it apart. This cargo / mobile showroom, nicknamed "Originator," was constructed for a weapons designer / fabricator to show and sell his wares across the galaxy. Lots of interior room, lots of brick-built and standard weaponry, and some other small areas were my goals. Exterior wise, there might be some tiger, stingray, or insect vibes, I don't know. I've added captions to most of the rest of the pics. The best way to view this (so I don't have to resize everything) is with the higher res photos and tagged items here at my Flickr album! But if you like MOCPages it's there too. A teaser shot (sized for EB) here: Ori-Splash by TheWarden007, on Flickr A teaser shot of the interior and the inventory here: Ori-Detail5 by TheWarden007, on Flickr In the market for an Omega range sniper rail gun? No? Overly heavy chaingun? Ori-Detail9 by TheWarden007, on Flickr Hope you enjoyed and thanks for looking! Quote
lightningtiger Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 AWESOME 'TheWarden' - a fantastic fusion of Sci-Fi themes and weapons - sweet weapons ! Great designing plus cool use of those old trans-green parts too ! Nice job and I'm a conformist! 'TheWarden' I'm a conformist! ! Quote
brickmack Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 Nice, especially for an older build. I'm loving the use of all the old UFO parts... Some of the white parts in the interior look a bit out of place with the other stuff though... Quote
Decale Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 I like this ship! I find very funny th fact that a weapon-seller's ship looks so much like a fish . Seriously, I love the quantity of brick-built and "standard" weapons you achieved to make fit in it. I'm a big fan of this type of chain-gun, sadly I don't have enough binoculars in one colour to make mine, and a black/darkgrey chain-gun is just weird. And non-seriously, am I the only guy here who found that the front of the ship looks a bit like your avatar TheWarden? Great cool MOC, I'm a conformist!! Quote
Masked Builder Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Wow! Your collection of orange and trans parts is amazing! Overall it looks pretty good but a little blocky. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Looks pretty good considering it's one of your first MOCs. I like the nice blending of the black, orange and trans-light green parts. Very nice interiors and double-cockpit design. Quote
Legostein Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Hello! The ship presented here is a very good design, I like it pretty much. I'd never thought that trans-neon-green and orange would go along so well with each-other. I like the side circle fragemnt cockpits a lot. You've also placed special pieces from other themes well, like the Aquazone rotor or the bioncile claws. Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
TheWarden Posted October 5, 2010 Author Posted October 5, 2010 Oh, thank you all very much! I didn't think this ol' thing would get much attention. brickmack - White parts? I think you mislooked. Those are just various brick-built weapons stuck on the walls of the show room. I have a pic with all of them out. Dino_Bot & Decale - Yeah, I had a couple of people say that. It's funny what others see you never see yourself, you know. Face! Masked Builder, lightningtiger, KielDaMan, Legostein - Thanks for the praise! Until next time amigos... Quote
Big Cam Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 I love it, it's like a conference room in a ship. The big open area is perfect for setting scenes, and display, yet it closes up to be a ship. As mentioned, your collection or orange bricks is quite impressive. Quote
Plastemaurer Posted October 10, 2010 Posted October 10, 2010 Nice ship. I really like how you designed the front. The two cabins in the big UFO-parts are very well done and have some nice details. The big showroom is also great but your weapons collection is just awesome. The black orange color scheme is also very appealling to me, although it seems to lack a discernable pattern. Quote
