Lego Otaku Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 When I was at Lego store today and picked up a few holiday sets, I also found one that I had never seen before: a polybag with the number 40008. It's not listed on Bricklink and it doesn't show up at Lego.com search so I wonder if it was released a little too soon? I posted the bag scan and part list on BL: http://www.bricklink.com/message.asp?ID=479631 Kind of cute set with 2 kids holding snowballs, a snowman, and a pine tree with trans-yellow topper suggesting Christmas theme. Of all the $4.99 polybaged holiday sets, this one had the highest brick count and the only one I've seen so far whose average price ends up a lot cheaper than $0.10 per brick. Quote
Lego Otaku Posted October 2, 2010 Author Posted October 2, 2010 Found my camera. Thank goodness it didn't end up in Canada with my parent but under the count with a hyper 16 weeks old Lego Monster. for the assembled set. Quote
The Yellow Brick Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 I heard about this set on Brickset Quote
Aanchir Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Yeah, 5-digit sets starting with the number four are all seasonal releases. This one is indeed very cute. I like the use of the 1x2 brick with groove for the kids' legs. The Christmas tree is also very, very nice, especially for such a small set, and really shows off the potential of cheese wedges and SNOT techniques. This is a set I certainly wouldn't mind getting in my stocking this year. Quote
Lego Otaku Posted October 3, 2010 Author Posted October 3, 2010 There are 2 more I didn't see it at the store yesterday but they are on eBay by some other sellers. and numbered 40009 and 40010 Now I need to go back to the store with these pictures and ask them. Quote
