alanboar HK Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 (edited) Hello all, I bring my new special PoP castle here. Enjoy it!! Actually, it is my one of alternative MOC for one tower (7573) Thank you, http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=447064 http://lego.alanstudio.hk/moc-7573-Mosque.htm Edited October 2, 2010 by alanboar HK Quote
Eskallon Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 That is pretty good, . I especially like the two towers and the fact there is a courtyard in the middle. I like the exterior but I think that the interior needs a little more furniture Quote
WhiteFang Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 Hey Alan, looks like you are now on an exciting journey to Persia. Glad to see you sharing this marvelous middle eastern creation with us. Very nice set up. How many 7573 PoP castle did you use for this? I really like this very much. Not sure if you are intending this MOC related to Prince of Persia or something historic? Let me know and I will do the necessary move since majority of the characters in there are very much related to Prince of Persia. Once again, thanks for sharing this with us. Quote
prateek Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 Oh my, this is awesome! Stop making me want Battle of Alamut more! Quote
Adrian86 Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 This is a fantastic MOC Alan! I love it! To me it looks like you perfectly captured that oriental spirit. Did you use 2 Alamut sets and one Ambush in Cairo Indy set? Quote
I Scream Clone Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 A lovely rendition of an ancient temple reduced to tourism. From the outside it looks to be a busy, bustling place full of life and action from local scoundrels and beggars. I agree the inside looks a little bland, but the real action is shown outside to much effect. Well done. Quote

Zorbas Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Great work (as usual) alan! You sure have a talent creating alternate models from official sets. The towers look great and I like that you've put a good number of minifigs performing various activities. The scorpion fight is clever and funny! Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 This is pretty epic! I haven't seen that much Persia castle MOCs around, or perhaps I just miss them, but this is certainly a good one. There are a lot of details all over the place, which I really like. The new colours also really stand out! Seeing those guards make me think on expanding my Crusader and Saracen army.. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Another superb creation Alanboar! Great way to use two 7573s to create a twin-towered Mosque. The tourism angle adds a very nice and refreshing touch on the build. Just curious though, is that tourist supposed to represent you Alan? He really looks like a cool, laid-back, and fun-loving dude! lightningtiger Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Excellent build there Alan, you captured every design element in a Mosque, even the tourist's out the front ! Great work and I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Masked Builder Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 That's gigantic! Looks really great! Quote

Big Cam Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 I love the design, it's like a giant PoP set. I really may need to look into getting some of the bigger PoP sets for the cool dome pieces. I recently saw this movie and it makes all the sets mean that much more. The tourist add a bit of humor to a nice MOC. Quote
Little Brick Man Posted October 10, 2010 Posted October 10, 2010 What with the skeleton lying near the oasis? Did he died of thirst or the water was poisoned? Anyway, great job. ~Little Brick Man littlebrickman.blogspot.com Quote
