lcs Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 Sorry if this does not belong in General discussions, I did not believe it to be a sale thread... more of a "feeler" thread or gathering ideas. Let me know if this is frowned upon, or if this should go in another forum. So, I have a bunch of minifigures, I'd say over 50 I would be interested in selling (City, Indy Jones, Star Wars, Pirates). I never really have used them, I personally don't collect minifigures, and I don't display them. They sit in a box unused. I assume these would be easier to sell as a bulk lot, rather than list each figure individually. It would be very time consuming for me to list each one individually and try to sell them that way. I don't believe it would be worth it to me. I tried looking on bricklink for an "average" price for minifigures, I am having a hard time coming up with this. I guess in short, what should I charge per minifigure (fair price) to give me an idea on what to charge for this lot. Quote
Masked Builder Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 It depends on what you've got got but I'd say about $5 or $6 a fig is pretty good. Quote
lcs Posted September 27, 2010 Author Posted September 27, 2010 Would Eurobricks forum be a good place to try to sell them? I wasn't sure how frequent sales were on this site. I'd like to not have to list on ebay, and have never sold on bricklink (only bought lol) Off the top of my head, there are about 10 pirates (6 red coats) 5 "princesses" (minifig with dress) I was originally thinking maybe $1 or $2 per fig, so asking $150 for 50 minifigures is right on par? I knew some people collected these, didn't think they would be worth that much. Thanks Quote
DLuders Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 Recommend using this Bricklink.com Reference Catalog list of the Minifigs. Once you find your Minifig, click on the "Price Guide Info" to find out the Average, Maximum, and Minimum Prices that Minifig is getting in recent sales. Here's an example for the Minifig below: Quote

I mainly build technic now and a few small MOC's, but buy new sets for use as parts and MOC's. I am definitely going to sell these as a lot, I guess my asking price went up a bit. It pays to be educated on what you are selling I suppose. Thanks for the help Quote
Calabar Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 If you don't want to select and classify minifigs, surely you will not obtain a price as hight as you will do if you'll do it. I recommend you to make some photos, and than let the buyers make the price. Common minifigures has a low value (1-2$ range), but desirable and rare minifigures, especially licensed ones (such as star wars characters' minifigures) can reach 10-15$ range and more. Quote

lcs Posted September 27, 2010 Author Posted September 27, 2010 Thanks to everyone for the help. Another reason for not listing the minifigures individually would be some of the parts were mixed and matched. (switched hats/pants/faces) I will get some pictures tonight and post these in the for sale section. I think I will average these to $2 each, that way it sells quick. I could use some extra cash for new sets, and I'm sure someone will be excited to get a bunch of minifigures. Quote
lcs Posted September 28, 2010 Author Posted September 28, 2010 Thanks again for the help. I have posted a thread in the for sale forum: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=46889 Please let me know if this is asking too much or if maybe I am selling myself short. Quote
