---Vertea--- Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 Hallo gents! I posted a ship in this subforum a while back titled 'Squidman's Cruiser'. Well now I've decided to go a little further and give the fantabulous Squidman a new ship! Behold! The Squidman Hot Rod!!! Unfortunately,I haven't got time to post all of the pics here, but feel free to check out my Flickr! Here-o Quote
prateek Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 Very nice! The only thing I can say to improve is the front. IMO its, too flat. Maybe add some SNOT or some slopes. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 Looks good, but I'm not really feelin' the side railings beside the cockpit, it looks kinda out-of-place there. Nice Blacktron-ish clor scheme, but it could use a lot more details and less huge pieces. Quote

The front is supposed to be blunt and flat, save for those two little headlights/laser thingies. It's a look that I'm fond of. Though perhaps the next ship I build will feature a different kind of nose build that isn't so flat. curious how that bugs so many people lol. I like sleek ships with blunt noses. The large panels worked for the purpose and looked good. I'm not so good with greeble, which is another reason there aren't so many details. I suppose that's something I'll have to try on my next ship- trouble is I don't have a huge selection of tiny parts for greebling. Quote
not-in-use-anymore Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 It's good, the shape of the front reminds me of General Grevious's Starfighter. Quote
lightningtiger Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 Very good design there '---Vertea---', even with a flat nose (aerodynamics are useless in outer space ). The side rails, maybe in black would be better or fluro green....handy in case someone tries ramming his cockpit ! I'm a conformist! '---Vertea---' I'm a conformist! ! Quote

The side rails are admittedly way out of place, but I really wanted to use them lol. You ever have one of those moments where you have a part and you really want to use it despite it not being a good choice? That was one of those moments, I think :P Quote
