DNL Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 (edited) It has been a while since i posted my last MOC. Thats because i'm working on a large medieval city with surrounding landscape that will be shown at Fanwelt in Cologne, Germany the November. In the mean time i have also built this MOC: A New Life by Daniel Z 'DNL', on Flickr After the world oil production reached it's peak because no profitable new oil fields were found the entirely oil dependent global economy collapsed. Few of the world's billions of people survived the following famine caused by the shortage of fuel for agricultural machines, pesticides and transport, and the resource based wars that ravaged the planet. The survivors now live in small societies and groups, and their way of life has changed drastically. This particular group of survivors has changed a rural house into a self sufficient farm growing everything they need. More photos Edited September 22, 2010 by DNL Quote

lightningtiger Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 I'm impressed 'DNL' from the vehicle to the makeshift repaired house to the overgrown gardens and a soccer ball just sitting there just an excellent piece of MOC building ! I'm a conformist! 'DNL' I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Masked Builder Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 Awesome! Your attention to detail is amazing. Quote
not-in-use-anymore Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 It reminds me of The Colony, great job with the house! Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 Wow that's one astonishing creation DNL! Great job on conveying a post-APOCish. post-famine scene. It looks effectively beautiful despite the damaged-makeshift-repaired aura of the house and the truck. I totally love it. Quote
Fires-storm Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 Well done, what a truly refreshing take on the apocalypse! I'd gladly live in a world where there were way less people, no more oil being dredged into our oceans, and everything was self sufficient Quote
Legostein Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 Hello! That's a really impressive diorama. With many inspiring ideas to discover. The scene has indeed a very realistic look because you seem to have thought of every detail! Despite the apocalyptic topic the scene provides a little hope nonetheless. A little peaceful world on its own. Now to mention my favourite detail: the brick-built mushrooms are great! Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
bricked one Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 The details are just amazing, I really like how you made your plants in the back. Quote
Admiral Ron Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Beautiful, simple beautiful. I love the truck, as well as the still in the back, the post apoc citizens have to drink some stress away too I suppose. I love it, it looks perfect, keep up the always great work! Quote
