AngryChair Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 (edited) Hi My brother pointed me in the direction of this site last week (can't believe I missed this one..!) Over the past year and a half I've been doing a Stop Motion project featuring a trilogy of SW themed stop motion films. Got the final part planned for next year..I really wanted to focus on a heavy amount of VFX so a lot of these were filmed against greenscreens and then a lot was done in post production. You may have already seen these but just in case you haven't, I thought you may like to take a look. Thanks for looking.! Part 1 Part 2 Cheers AC Edited September 22, 2010 by AngryChair Quote
Artanis I Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 You've done well, the sound tracks fit just right, the visual effects are great and the camera angles & sets look good too. Make more! Quote
JimBee Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 Very nice animation, a little choppy at parts (walking in particular), but other than that, great. The effects were really good, too, better than average for brickfilms. I especially liked the speeder chase, when the mountains in the background are 2-D but move in 3-D space (and fade out slowly), as well as the lightsaber effects. The sound is superb, too. However, the backdrops are a little boring. While it seems that you were focused on the action more than the scenery, more than just drab, grey walls would really make the films exceptional. In any case, good luck with the third part, please do inform us here when you are finished with it. Quote
CMP Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 That was great! The effects and the speeder scene in particular. I too, look forward to part 3. Quote
AngryChair Posted January 11, 2011 Author Posted January 11, 2011 Thank you all for your comments thus far. I've just started on working on the backgrounds for Episode 3 which are a lot more detailed and realistic. The overal sets will be a lot more detailed as I agree the grey plate walls were not overly inspiring..!! Once again will be heavy on the VFX and want to try mouth animations for this one too. Hope to have it ready by sometime in the summer and then working on a s/motion Harry Potter theme with my brother Vindice. Thanks again AC Quote
