Hinckley Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 I love the work you've done here! Very classic shape, seemingly simple build, but when you look closer, the details are so intricate. You've really captured the feel of a true Japanese Pagoda Temple and done so very well in minifig scale. The first thing that stands out to me is the use of the angled plates to make the envelope roof. You must've felt pretty good when those corners matched up! Excellent work. I'd love to see more from you. This is really exciting and inspiring. Quote
FelixTheCat Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 Anyone else see the similarity between Japanese roof tiles and Lego studs? I reckon you've nailed it.It may be the most simple solution but it's also the one that creates the best effect. Love how you've used a standard Lego minifig head on one character too. Don't see those round much these days. Quote
underredsky Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 As I know, ancient Japanese structures prefered white and black rather than red .In fact, ancient Chinese liked red. Quote
