Daniel Williams Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Well anyway... congrats it's a baby boy... Basically I put a head on three round 1 x 1 plates wrapped it in tissue paper and tapped the sides of the crib to the sides. So what you guys think? This is actually suppose to be part of a gift for my older bro and sister in law who is expecting a baby boy. So what do you guys think of it so far? Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 That's a very cute build, perfect for a 'baby gift'. I just wonder how those pieces are connected together? It seems there is no legal connection, are they glued/taped together? Quote
Aethersprite Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Aww, that's so cute! Nice work! Quote
fred67 Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 It IS cute... what a great idea. I can see something there for Christmas, personally. But I do think you could MOC a small crib without needing tape, even if it might be slightly larger. Maybe look to the Green Grocer set for some inspiration for a baby carriage. Quote
sok117 Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 Nice Idea, but I like to do my baby's with a half technic pin with stud in the head, connected to a white turban piece, It looks pretty good in my opinion. Quote
jokster Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 Cute I'm new here and that is one of the best customs I've seen.good work Quote
Aanchir Posted September 21, 2010 Posted September 21, 2010 I still haven't seen anyone do custom printing on a microfig from one of the LEGO games. I think that would make an ideal infant. Of course, custom prints are difficult. For not using one, this infant is effective, although I agree a purely brick-built crib would have been preferable to one that relies on tape to get the job done. Quote
